IGNCube never confirmed TTT and RR5 for GC. Any links?? And why wouldn\'t you want it on the Cube?? You want us GC fans to miss out on the franchise?? :rpissed:

I\'m not sure if I can dig up the links since it was so long ago but I\'ll try.  As for the second question...........yes.:thepimp: :thepimp:

The developer of Ridge Racer V announces PS2 caused losses and pledges GameCube support.

February 28, 2001

Namco Japan reported today that it expects a loss of more than $55 million for this quarter. The company attributes the massive dip to poor sales of its PlayStation 2 products for the year. Namco believes the slow sales can be blamed on Sony\'s failure to deliver enough PlayStation 2 consoles in Japan, as it had promised.
The most interesting bit of news from Namco\'s financial statement, however, comes with the official confirmation from the company that it plans to throw its support behind Nintendo\'s next-generation GameCube console. No details were given about what software to expect, but IGNcube has been able to confirm through sources that at least two titles are in development -- versions of Ridge Racer V and Tekken Tag Tournament. No word on if these titles will be enhanced over their PlayStation 2 counterparts. Both games are expected at system launch in Japan.

Interestingly, Namco made no mention of Microsoft\'s Xbox in its official financial statement.

More as it becomes available.

There you guys have it IGNcube has confirmed that at least two titles are in development RR5 and TTT.  So where are they?  Strange how they just confirmed it too and it never came.

And has Namco denied GC versions of Tekken and RRV?? If what IGNCube said is true, we\'ll see if they were wrong on the day GC launches in Japan.

"As for the second question...........yes."

Ass. Now here\'s a kick in the groin.

well, I am back from vacation and back on MY PC! :)

Good thing I don\'t like button mashers, I mean Soul Calibur, otherwise my November system purchase would be more complicated. SC2 doesnt interest me in the least, but good for Nintendo, this will probably help kill the kiddy image, even though this is the ONLY fighting game announced for it.

That is beyond stupid. Why do you care if it goes to the GC or not? It amazes me the brand loyality people have. I mean, I prefer certain companies over others but I could care less where a game goes. Its just stupid. If it goes to the GC - great for GC fans . If not oh, well.

Big deal.
Sheesh.

Don\'t take me as a fanboy, but I am skeptical.  What is the source that "confirmed" it and why is IGN the only site that is running the story?  For all we know it could be some retailer spewing garbage.  I need something official....

If it is true, it would be great!  On the GC it would look infinitely better than the PS2 version if they make good use of the hardware and the controller looks like a dream to play on.

This is bad ass.  I hope it stays an exclusive for Gamecube sakes.  This would be the killer fighting game it needs.

Even if it doesn\'t, I\'m excited that it is coming to GC and not going to be a PS2 exclusive (assuming it\'s going on the PS2 at all;))

Another nail in Sony\'s coffin...:D J/K

Munch Canceled
Galleon Canceled
Tecmo saying they maxed out PS2
Namco developing for everyone else (finally!!)
MGS sequel not being exclusive

Now if only I can persuade Square to go third party~Mwahaha...

Just messing with ya guys, for every one of those "bad" things I wrote up there, I could name two good reasons to own PS2.  So don\'t go spastic or nothing...

Isn\'t it weird how Jumpman always assumes everyone else is a fanboy when he is the biggest of them all...LOL

Jumpman is quick to defend Nintendo.

But don\'t mistake him as a fanboy, sometimes, he is one of the few people around here that make sense. He basically only accuses others of being fanboys when they are.
