Wow.  A lot more then what I expected.  Oh well, at least I\'m being offered a cheaper alternative this holiday season.  I do have other things to buy for other people besides a game console.  I think the fact that one of these bundles is already sold out (whether it be from limited quantity or extreme popularity) is amazing, esepcially at the set price.
Don\'t you ever touch my cape.

well they can have there bundles because all of these are not going to sellout. They mixed in games like simpson road rage, and funzon frenzy with a doa3 or new legedns. Halo mad dash what a ploy. Trying to sell those lesser weak titles. Well you can\'t blame them for doing it they just won\'t  be getting my money. Jsrf is coming out a week after launch and so is wwf raw is war, and who knows what else. So I\'ll save my money til launch and just walk in a buy a single console and choose my own games.

Sure I was getting halo, new legends, and doa3. But those 3 games are not in a strait bundle.

IMO,
I\'m not willing to pay 1K for an XBox bundle ever,
i was willing to do that for a PS2 bundle, cause I had a PS1,
and thought that a PS2 would be a nice evolutionary step up to good gaming. ...
Xbox is unproven, ... why would i want to sink “Big” money if the systems might go the way of the Jaguar in 2 years.? (ok, so maybe it won’t go that way, because M$ has lots of money to throw at the Xbox)

After SONY announced the PS2, and I read the spec on it, I thought, ok, here is a console to end all consoles. The DC had great games, but it could not compete hardware wise with the PS2, (textures excluded lol )  Yet here comes Xbox, and they throw hundreds of millions of polygons around, lots of textures etc… … maybe they will pull a SONY-like maneuver to come from nowhere and capture #1… OR maybe most of the Xbox games will have cool graphics, but the games themselves won’t be unique, and exclusive enough. Maybe the Xbox will sell 5 million consoles in North-America and Europe, but will only manage to sell 500,000 systems in Japan, .. Maybe the Japanese developers will frown on the “American suppha console” … Too many unknowns at this time… Wish I had a magic crystal ball to predict the future.

Joe gamer walks into EB...

Hmm Do i get the $700 dollar xbox bundle with games I don\'t know or want

Or.. do i get the Gamecube for $200 and pick up any game with my favourite characters in it which I WANT and ain\'t being forced to want.. ;)

Or do I get the ps2 for 200-250 (if price drops) and buy kick-ash games like metal gear solid 2 or Ico etc.

Like L-i-c says "When microsoft are taking one step foward they are taking two steps backwards"

I seriously hope for Hell and The dev... OPPS! I mean Microsoft and Bill Gates, that you can buy an xbox by it\'s self!

Yeah, I\'ll rush out and spend a lot of money on launch games that I just don\'t care about. I mean, however dissapointed I was with the PS2 launch - at least I was excited about those games (Summoner, anyone? :( ). I can\'t say I\'m even excited about the Xbox launch titles so I know I am not buying any of these lame / rip-off bundles.
Thank you, but no thank you, MS.

Whats wrong with Microsoft, I\'m guessing it\'s them telling stores to sell in bundles. I just want the damn system, wtf.

Come one man, I love my sony and would never EVER think of buying an xbox but their launch titles kick the ps2\'s imo but i\'d rather Tony Hawk 2x and Halo and Munch\'s Oddesey over SSX, Tekken Tag and Summoner ( ).

But then that\'s the beauty of launching a year earlier then the xbox, We have Metal Gear Solid 2, Gran Turismo 3, Ico, etc. to compete against xbox\'s launch list.

When the PS2 launched and did the same exact bundles, you praised it and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread, now you dislike Microsoft because they have the exact same bundles.

Honestly, I think the word "Biased" comes in there somewhere and not only that clip needs mental help...

TTT compared to DOA3?  You have got to be kidding me.  TTT is LAME and the graphics are LAME.

GT3 compared to Project Gotham.  Only one problem GT3 was launched 9 months after launch. DOH!

???? Compared to Halo? hahahahaha please.... Give me a break here...  Nothing compares to Halo at the PS2 launch...

SSX compared to Amped... What are you smoking.... SSX was more akin to a Dreamcast game, but since there was nothing else at launch SSX ran away with it...

Madden 2001 compared to NFL Fever 2002 again you must be really clueless.  Fever blows this away easily.  989 studios need to buy the Microsoft franchise.  Check out the movie that came out this morning....

???? to Shrek, I haven\'t found one thing that could stand up to this at launch of the PS2.

I know some of you guys are biased for Sony and all, but for crying out loud, admit defeat when it comes to launch, it will make you feel better.

If you havent seen some of the recent movies of these games, they really have been improved over time, since most of you first have seen them.

Now the bundles I don\'t really care for, but its a year later and finally the PS2 is getting titles like DMC and such, but the launch was terrible for the PS2, lets not even go there.

There wasn\'t any game that I liked at the Sony launch and to this day only MGS2 and DMC even stand out.....  GT3 looks great when you look outside of the car, but when you drive its a totally different looking game.

I don\'t mean to come out sounding like a total wasted fanboy, from the above, but even the person off the street could tell the difference....

As bad as youthink the xbox launch is, the PS2 was far far far worse. Y\'all just a couple of months ago got GT3, xbox gets it either at launch or 10 days after.  doh!

Suuuure... it\'s funny, my local EB requires a bundle for the XB launch, but for the PS2 launch, none.  I bought the PS2 system only there.  When the internet offered PS2 bundles, I was equally miffed, but also glad I had an alternate means of getting the system over a bundle.  KB, Toys\'R\'Us, and EB all require XB bundle purchases in my area.  That\'s sad.  It\'s also one of the many reasons I\'m not getting one at launch.  (I\'d rather wait a year.)

Biased because of a system bundle?  As I said, most retailers in my area didn\'t require a PS2 bundle at launch, but they do for the X-Box.  Why the big change?  I don\'t think that has anything to do with system loyalty.

In reference to your launch comparison, good for you.  You can contrast year old software to brand new software.  That\'s nice.  XB had a year to prepare itself and improve on the PS2 launch.  That\'s good as well.  What\'s the point of all this?  Learn from others mistakes.  Does that really matter to anyone else in this forum except DocJizz?  I highly doubt it.

XB, again, is following the PS2\'s issues and improving upon them.  The DC had a great launch with the amount of launch titles being their key selling point.  What did Sony do?  Made more launch titles.  Despite the fact that the system was rushed out the door and that devs had such little dev time, the PS2 had the most launch games in history.  However, the system met much fanboy resistance for lack of a truly killer-app.  So, being the oppurtunists most companies are, MS took Sony\'s issues and improved upon them.  It\'s called evolution.  I\'m sure you knew that though, I mean, you can compare year old software to brand new software.  *claps*

First off, I never once mentioned TTT or DOA3. Infact, I mentioned that I was dissapointed in the PS2 launch. Start reading before you post this crap, okay? So, to clear this up, I don\'t need mental help. You just need to read things instead of skimming them.

If you will go back and read my previous post, you will notice that I said I was dissapointed with the PS2 launch but that I was excited about it. I then followed up saying that I wasn\'t even excited about the MS launch games. Big difference!

I think the PS2 launch was terrible and the Xbox launch is looking to be equally terrible.

Once again, read before you post this crap.

Just in case you have problems reading this text , let me put it in bold.
The PS2 launch was CRAP in my OPINION and so will be the XBOX launch.
Simple enough?
Thank you.

Unless you work at Ign, Do you work at ign? Or Gamespot..?

No no, your one of those Teamxbox.com people!
