mk3 did come out on the snes but it sucked compared to mk2...
i hope their 3rd party does get better,  because it would be a shame to see such a powerful system go to waste with kiddie cartoony games only...if more games look like the RE series and i start seeing a trend of dark or mature games being released on the gamecube,  then one day i will own it too...
but only time will tell.

I think this is great news, I planned on getting a GC anyway, because I love video games, so this is all the more reason to get a GC...

I just saw the video and the remake looks fantastic.

However one game isn\'t going to mean death for another system

I\'m just glad the Gamecube is getting the publicity it needs.  Lately its been pretty harsh.

IronFist, this is sad news for the Playstation fans but RE will fade out soon and Silent Hill will take over.  ;)  RE started with the Playstation first why desert us.

As If Resident Evil could fade out its FARKEN awesome! it was 1 of the reasons i got PS2 just so i could keep the RESI story going because i love the game sooooo much! But if they dont release it on PS2 straight away so wat? they will release it at a later date? right? right? if not im gonna cry!!! FARK im PI$$ED OFF IF IT DONT COME TO PS2! im gonna write a letter to shinji mikami or how ever u spell it!!!

dont think it\'ll be realised on the ps2 any time soon cuz unlike dc: recv, they are planning 6 exclusive games on the gc.  4 of them are remakes but they\'r completely remade, and not just with better graphics.

PPL! WAKEUP! RRE series are over, forget about them, capcom has their best game ever made by the company for the ps2, sure Devil May Cry!

Now that RE will no longer be avaible on PS2 it sucks! :rolleyes: Riiiiiiight. And you think DMC will be that different from RE? Was Onimusha that different? Dino Crisis? No no and no.

Devil May Cry is not a horror  / surival horror game. It is an action game. Big difference in genre , there. I truly doubt DMC is Capcom\'s finest game either. You have forgotten Street Fighter 2, Mega Man, GHouls and Ghost, Strider and the list goes on.

c\'mon man...lets keep it clean and offensive-less.

come to think of it,  i wouldve preferred if capcom wouldve made MEGA-MAN exclusive to the GC  (since the cartoony style fits the GC best)   and keep the RE series alive for any console.

However, while I have always been a fan of Resident Evil, IMO, its slowly drudging towards reduntancy with the same old gameplay, weak story, backtracking, and the constant remakes and "improved" versions of the same game (though I do like what they are doing with RE1 remake for the GCN, its still, a remake of an existing game). As for DMC, PS2 fans actually played it (at the very least, a demo which, if anything, the real game should be BETTER then this demo), and many DO believe that its better then RE even before RE was announced to be exlcusive to the GCN. Still, other reason then this, probably fanboy talk.

You guys are gonna miss REsident Evil ??? Oh GOD.... what a tired old excuse for a game series RE has become.

I\'d rather go watch paint dry than play another Resident Evil game with the same plot and same story over and over and over and over....

It doesent really matter that much to me anyways we still have all the classic RE games as well as Onimusha and DMC to enjoy "unless they go GC exclusive too" :eek:

I agree with Whizard97 the RE series is getting somewhat dry we need innovation here, the idea of controlign 2 people in RE 0 is a cool idea i just hope it plays out right!
 
Seeing how RE is being remade on GC it looks hella impressive and ill definatley check it out! All i know is i hope the VOICE ACTING is redone as good as the Graphics :laughing:

I want whats best for ps2 and all but im likley to own all the systems so it doesent really mater :D
