sorry to break the bubble but sony metioned a few days ago that they shipped 17 million unts worldwide, not all of them are sold

I think its more like 10-15 million units sold

But it took the PSX a year to sell 1 million consoles, and yet it took about 1 month for the PS2 to do that so its on track

no it sold far more, more like 75 - 80 million, sony hasn\'t released new figures for a while so who knows?

but its good to see ps2 diong well, I couldn\'t have Imagined that the same time last year, with all the shortages etc. Many people in europe (including me) will be picking up a ps2, here in holland ps2 got much more popular after the price drop  which is a good thing since it was always flamed here

Kirk Owen said that XBOX, NGC and PS2 would sell about 150 million units alltogether and that PS2 would sell over 50% of those..

Around 75-80million PS2s then :)
Some say 90million.. But you can never be sure.

I cant wait for MGS2! (and about 20 others ;) )
