Xbox has hardware FSAA.. I know that.. (XBOX wasnt completed back then.. I think there were some computers emulating it.. Just like the first PS2 showing.. Something like 6 computeres emulating the PS2..)
I think you can ask almost any person about this
and they\'ll tell you what I\'ve said..

I have no need to prove this to you.. If you want to know so badly, go look for youself..

Claypool 2001: I am calm.. There\'s something bothering Eric and I dont know what it is..
I have a tip..
If your frustrated, dont come into a forum and bash people..

Go out.. Smash some things up. Scream or whatever.. ;)
That should help.. :eyemouth:

yup, that\'s what I thought.

good job arguing your point though, giving up because you cant prove it, that gives you really nice credibility.

LOL..
Im not giving up..

As you said

perhaps because I wasn\'t an X-Box follower in the beginning

So you prolly dont know anything about it..

MS showed 2 demos..
The first one Raven-robot dancing was a CG clip..
The 2nd one (a few months lator.. I think it was at some big show..) was a real time demo of Raven and the robot dancing.. (you could clearly see the difference..)

I even have a magazine where it says so.. I could scan it for you..
Provide you with some translation program or something..

Or you could look at some videogame archives..

I dunno.. You do what you feel like..

The topic of this thread kind of changed, but here\'s more info backing up the original topic:  The launch Xboxes are like the launch PS2s.

Ok, you might remember my favorable impressions of the X-box a couple days ago.

Well, today, I was back at that same target picking something up...and decided to give the box another go. My game loving little sister had tagged along with me. We watched several of the videos on display there. Same as the other day...except something new had come to light.

The videos now skipped like crazy. I mean like PSX original, upside-down models. I don\'t know what the deal was...but it was definately having issues and would play for about 3-4 seconds and pause for about 2. The sound also skipped badly (even though it was rather quiet). Second, Munch took over a minute (by my actual watch) to load this time...very odd. The other day, the loading wasn\'t all that hot...but it was much faster than this.

Now, I am not bashing the Box as a system...since I am probably getting one next year (can\'t miss out on all that Sega goodness), but since this is MS\'s first console it makes me wonder how reliable the hardware is. Will launch buyers get screwed like the original PSX?

I have heard a few other stories around the net about the X-box units having some issues (everything from what I mentioned to not loading at all). Maybe they are just early units, but I am really wondering about this...anyone else experience something along these lines?

I actually passed by my EB today and was extremely surprised to find an Xbox demo unit. Naturally, since this was the first time I\'ve seen the thing, I approached only to find 2 employees screwing with it, and a couple other people around.
I inquired what was up, and they said the system was constantly crashing earlier in the day, and now it was failing to boot up. They said they were also in contact with another local EB to see if they had any problems, and it seem their unit would not boot up at all when they recieved it. I asked if what they have was supposed to be the final shipping unit, and they said yes, as far as they know. Ah well.. I was interested in seeing a game for myself.
They kept resetting it.. the screen kept flashing and making this buzzing noise, and cycling colors. Well, that\'s when I said good luck and walked out of there.

I guess it doesn\'t really matter though.  You can always do the Walmart trick. ;)

Thats the point of this thread, these are Final Booth versions of the Console andthey have problems now if you read the article from Penny-arcade.

they are going to struggle to produce enought unit\'s in time, also looking at the PA email it says that most of the units where only passed unsing very basic Quality Control tests.

this coupled with the need to produce units fast will only add to the increase chance in more Duff units being produced.

but you do have a point it has still to be launced on a vast scale, but unfortunally for M$ the delivery of Booth systems that work seams hard enough.

oh and Alt beast !
i did say i wasn\'t 100% shure of the Accuracy of the Article , and i did say it made intresting reading.

Okay.. building up hype like M$ aswell. BTW: theoretical, it\'s possible. Outcast 2 looks pretty outstanding, so do other games coming out to PS2. It is possible (theoretical), it\'s just some thought these graphics would be seen at launch.

Stranger things have happend,i remember the panic around the PS2 launch when it was leacked that it wasn\'t 100% backwords compatible.

Shares in Sony dropped that day !

So its easy to see how something like this can cause a panic.

When the PS2 was launched last year, the systems were working fine.  It wasn\'t until a couple months later that the PS2s started messing up.  If the Xboxes are screwing up even before the launch day, doesn\'t that make you at least a little bit worried?  It is more than one person who is making these claims.  Go look around the internet.  The Xbox is having problems.
