My Mate owns a game shop and he says the PS2 will only last another year...I disagree

My mate who owns a game shop reckons the X-Box will almost cripple Sony and like with the PSone, Sony will make kids budget games for the PS2.
I think he\'s talking donkey crap myself and as a PS2 Owner myself I think Sony are doing a great job.
I know Bill Gates could buy up the best games from Sony like FFX, MGS2 GT3 and so on but Sony have established themselves and yes graphics help to sell a game but they don\'t exactly make the game great, it\'s gameplay and realism for me, so before the everybody goes and starts kissing Mr Gates\'s Cheesy Geeky Ass, just remember that the games may look good on paper but in the hands of a hardcore gamer they could suck.
I believe Microsoft will do well but don\'t get your hopes up.

Nah the PS2 will do just fine. Lots of great games out for it and more to come. Plus some 15+ million PS2 owners already.

MS buy up games like Final Fantasy X, and others..  Do people not realize how big Sony is...

The Playstation part is a very small part of the whole pie.  It makes a lot of money, but in the big picture is small..

Sony dwarfes MS is terms of Revenue and size.  People don\'t forget that..

I think your friend needs to get out of the biz, it isn\'t good if retailers are biased towards one console. And i think that he should be supporting ps2, since it is the most popular console right now.

GT3 to xbox?? sure..and all nintendo games will be multi platform :rolleyes:  ..aint gonna happen

Serious..... Xbox will go the same way as DC........ GC will survive I think, but it doesnt matter....  Sony, Nintendo or maybe even MS will come out with a new console before u guys realise it.
But I dont care... right now PS2 is the best console on the market...... if someone have something else to say, then they know nothing about videogames.....
