sony has well established itself!

Sony has always turned out an awesome product and has never really disappointed anyone, so why should anyone trust to go out and buy a three hundred dollar machine like the xbox and not really knowing what they are getting except for when they spend half an hour in wal-mart fighting kids to play next!!!

Why would anyone want an Xbox?  I have a few reasons, and I\'m sure the Xbox owners can give some others:

• Games like Halo, DOA3, Project Gothem, and Munch make the Xbox worth a purchase right now in many peoples eyes.
• Microsoft has money.  Tons of money.  They won\'t let this thing die.  It\'s almost garranteed that spending $300 on the Xbox now will result in a good 5 years of gaming bliss.
• The Xbox is very powerful, and is extremely easy to program for (reletively).  This makes developers actually want to develope for it.  The small developers that want to break into the industry will make this console their first pick.  The only thing it needs now is a bigger userbase...
• The Xbox has the most support from Sega out of all of the consoles.  That\'s reason enough to buy it for thousands of people. :)
• It comes with a HDD and a broadband adapter.  If you want online play, this is the console for you.  The possibilities of the HDD are endless.
• DVD player.
• Support for very high resolutions (*drool*)
• Dolby 5.1

That\'s enough from me.  A Sony lover can only say so much good stuff about an apposing console before he goes crazy.  Does anyone else have anything to add?

I\'m interested in X Box, but you know how much it costs in Canada?  $600.00!  It\'s a bundle type package.  I think I would get Halo and maybe Munch.  I don\'t think the demo represents the heart of the gameplay.  Or am I wrong?

I was thinking the same thing.  It seems like we get a new one every day now.  Fortunately for us, you usually scare them off so we don\'t have to deal with them anymore.

 Really? From what I\'ve heard Munches Odysee and DOA3 were just good graphic but bad gameplay. I can see how Halo would do that and maybe Project Gothem.

  Yes it has great hardware inside it but it doesnt need anything extra it already weighs 9 pounds.

Hmmm...  From what I\'ve heard around the internet, many people are loving Munch and DOA3.  Just because you don\'t like it doesn\'t mean everyone doesn\'t.

Actually, Sony has more money that Microsoft does (last time I checked at least).  But Microsoft still has enough to keep the Xbox alive nomatter how unsuccessful it could be.

This is the console debating forum.  If you say something we don\'t agree with, we won\'t just sit here and ignore you.  Fanboys get bashed at these forums.  As long as you are posting biased  threads like this, you will be bashed.

MS is a much bigger and wealthier company than Sony.  Someone posted the figures here a little while ago.  The point is moot though because both companies have enough cash to last.

Yes, all this nonsense about how much the xbox weighs is a ridiculous attempt to bash the box.  It weights 7 pounds actually, and once you add the HD and modem to a PS2 come back and tell me how much it weighs.

And like was said, who the hell cares how much a console weighs.  I thought Sony fanboys only cared about the games?
