Swords are just way too cool.  I wanted one for Christmas but I guess my parents didn\'t think giving a weapon of destruction to their 17 year old, testosterone-enraged son was a good idea.  Where would they get that idea from?

Personally I like the long, thin Crouching Tiger type swords over the Viking-like ones.  How much do they usually run for and do you need a permit?

Why would you need a permit? It\'s not like your going to hack n slash everyone in sight once you get your hands on one... err nm.    :D

Especially this chick digs swords. As you can figure out from my sig. I\'m getting my first sword this month. It\'s just an iaito, a dull blade practise sword, but still. I\'ll treasure it like it was a real katana. And some day I will buy me one of those as well.

I love swords. But not just any kind of swords. The sleek curving Japanese sword is my absolute all time favorite. Deadly and beautiful. Because of its shape it sinks into the flesh easily. And it\'s not just for killing and fighting, Japanese swords are real pieces of art, with all the fittings. I\'m especially interested in different kind of tsubas (sword guard) with all the different kinds of shapes and decorations. There is So Much to learn about Japanese swords. Even the tiniest parts have their own name.

I\'ve been saving like crazy to afford the iaito. But it is worth it. What will I use it for? Well, I practise iaido, which is a martial art. So far I\'ve been using the bokken, wooden sword. But I can\'t wait until the iaito arrives. It will get much harder. And maybe some day years from now I\'ll get to try a real, razor sharp katana! Scary thought.

And for fellow sword lovers...
http://www.swordforum.com - I bet there\'s a lot of info on any kind of swords. I usually just check the forums, one for just about any topic related to these lovely weapons.
http://www.tozando.com - sells not only swords for iaido and aikido, but other stuff related to martial arts too. Nice site and good swords, I hear.
http://japanesesword.homestead.com/files/nihonto.htm - if you want to learn more about the japanese sword, this is the place to visit.

PS.... Agnino, I accidentally turned down your authorization request. Could u please request again.

My friend actually has one just like that. It is a sweet sword in person. A lot better than the picture shows.

if I buy it from that website, do the Swords come combat really? or you have to sharpen it yourself?
