Especially this chick digs swords. As you can figure out from my sig. I\'m getting my first sword this month. It\'s just an iaito, a dull blade practise sword, but still. I\'ll treasure it like it was a real katana. And some day I will buy me one of those as well.
I love swords. But not just any kind of swords. The sleek curving Japanese sword is my absolute all time favorite. Deadly and beautiful. Because of its shape it sinks into the flesh easily. And it\'s not just for killing and fighting, Japanese swords are real pieces of art, with all the fittings. I\'m especially interested in different kind of tsubas (sword guard) with all the different kinds of shapes and decorations. There is So Much to learn about Japanese swords. Even the tiniest parts have their own name.
I\'ve been saving like crazy to afford the iaito. But it is worth it. What will I use it for? Well, I practise iaido, which is a martial art. So far I\'ve been using the bokken, wooden sword. But I can\'t wait until the iaito arrives. It will get much harder. And maybe some day years from now I\'ll get to try a real, razor sharp katana! Scary thought.
And for fellow sword lovers...
