best place to buy new ps2 w/ service contract
« on: March 03, 2002, 04:23:27 AM »
i was one of the (un)lucky ones to recieve one of the first highly defective  ps2\'s when it came out...now i want to get a brand spankin\' new one AND with a service contract this time!

things i have learned:

not to be an early adopter of a new console....very few games and s-itloads of glitches in the hardware

get a service contract w/ consoles....they get a lot of abuse!

so: who has the best service plan?
I have adjusted well to not being well adjusted.

Dunno, but with the new PS2\'s there pretty much fine, When people moan about disk read errors mainly I would blame it on them, if you took care of your PS2 and disks it wouldn\'t **** up, my disks dont have a spek of dust on any of them and my console is spotless, strange how mine works. Oh and im not having a go at you and I know there are problems with earlier PS2\'s its just I hate people that moan when there disks are scratched and dusty and they obviously dont care about the games, I got a mate like that , he is NOT allowed to put his games in my machine.

Check out this link to fix your ps2 99% of the time

I used the lens clean (internal) method and i\'ve had no problems since.. It really is dust that causes the problems. Humdity can cause a problem beacuse it can condense dust on the lens... I guess you might call it a defect, but its really not.
