Read Rikku\'s post, and then add the Genesis/Saturn/DC remakes. - Blade
I did, and he deserves thanks for answering a question of mine. Remember, my debate was never that the PS2 is getting MORE Sega titles.. but that Sega is distributing their efforts evenly. The only company who seems to be getting the short end of the stick is Nintendo. Also remember that Sega announced that they would port some of their Saturn classics to the PSOne, and release sequels to some of their classic games on the PS2. Like I said though, they haven\'t been announced. Just out of curiosity, do you know which Sega classic games are being developed for the Xbox?
Oh, and by the way.. add Grandia II and Skies of Arcadia & Virtua Fighter 4 (thanks Sublimesjg) to the list of games Sega is/has released on the PS2. The coverage, is just about equal I\'d say.
Who\'s going to publish these remakes? Sega, right? End of story. - Blade
I\'m not exactly sure. I\'ll have to look more into the subject and get back to you.
You\'re right, but that\'s still more than Sony or Nintendo has done for Sega in recent years. - Blade
And the point of this is... ? Sony and Nintnedo were in direct competition with Sega while the Dreamcast was in production. Microsoft was NOT. It would make no sence for Sony and Nintnedo to help Sega create a gaming machine which will be pitted against their own machines.
Also, you\'re considering a problem with your copy of Sega Swirl to be a problem with Windows CE on Dreamcast. For all you know, you might have the only 16 games that don\'t run on Windows CE. But anyway.. - Blade
The point of bringing up my copy of Sega Swirl being the only game that has problems running, was a show of Irony. Not to say that all copies are defective like that.. I don\'t know.. but mine is. The fact that it runs on a Microsoft (renound for buggy products) OS kernel and is the least graphically strenious game.. yet still manages to spit & sputter is humorous to me.
There are a few Dreamcast games which run on Windows CE, such as RailRoad Tycoon II. The VAST majority of Dreamcast games do NOT run on Windows CE. I know this from experience, and anyone else here who owns a Dreamcast will tell you the same. Go to any videogame trader shop, read the myrid of product reviews for DC games... there aren\'t too damned many games for the DC which use it.
And what is this "For all you know" stuff? Do YOU own and still purchase games for the Dreamcast? If not, then I would think I would be in a much better position to make claims on what is and is not the more commonly used development programs than you are.
It\'s been stated in interviews.. but it might just be an opinion of one director. Flaky reference on my part. - Blade
Lots of things have been said in interviews, and in the end 90% of the statements made don\'t add up to a hill of sh*t. There are developers out there right now who will sing the praises of Xbox hardware.. but continue to work exclusively on the PS2.
But hey, at least you can admit it. I give you credit for that.
What\'s "AFAIK"? - Ashford
