Whoa.. I wasn\'t expecting that... Now that I think about it.. I think that\'s why I didn\'t get the game in the first place.. (and saving for DMC instead;))
.... take the skin and peel and back...

now doesn\'t it make you feel better?

Return to the fountain area, and put it in the fire. You should be able to tell whats coming next...

hey Rich,

I gotta disagree with ya. DMC is one of the best game graphically on the PS2 and the fast hard hitting gameplay rocks!! It\'s the first 3D action game that captures the feels of fast hard hitting 2D action games of yore.

Yes, there isn\'t too many puzzle in this game but it\'s not suppose to! It\'s not like RE(which I hate very much) which requires you to do lots of small boring task. DMC IMO, is equivalent to the MATRIX of video gaming! Super cool, super fast, super graphics, super action...

As for someone mentioning about borders, it\'s only the cut-scene that has black borders to give it a movie-like feel. The game is in full screen(unless you\'re talking about PAL version which I\'ve no idea).

The graphic quality is simply astounding..the real-time rendered background looks as good(if not better) than those pre-rendered backgrounds in Omnimusha and the character control scheme is way much better.
Omnimusha is also a good game, but face the same control problems of RE. Consider this: RE( many puzzles, little action), Omnimusha(few puzzles, more action), DMC(minimum puzzle crap, lights, camera, ACTION!!!!!).

I highly recommend DMC to anyone who looks for a hard hitting action game with no nonsense frills adrenaline pump.

Paul, the Pal version is seriously flawed. Dante runs 17.5% slower so it looks as if he\'s running in treacle.
Also the big and i mean BIG borders put him out of shape, he looks squashed. just with all these elemets combined
it really slows down the gameplay and it can\'t help but piss you off that it could have been avoided so eaisly.

I have to say that i liked the game but with all the above problems always plays part in the back of your mind.
It should have been a better conversion.

it\'s funny, am I the only guy in europe that has a decent widescreen tv? I hear all this stuff about PAL conversions, but honestly - since Rige Racer V I didn\'t experience any that would have been bad. The speed is okay, the boarders are to a minimum - at least on my tv.

I think that the majority of people who say they completed a game like DMC in six hours first time are talking complete bollocks.

Sorry, just my opinion.

Anyway, what are you looking for in a game, it\'s not a game if it makes you turn it off in frustration, it\'s just another unfinished stressful thing in your life. The learning curve was excellent, maybe a little easy but SIX HOURS!!

Sorry, but bollocks.

I own both Onimusha and Devil may cry.   I loved both games.  Warlords had a great story and the polygons were awesome.  But as far as action goes, DMC wins by far.  Sometimes you have to take a games story a little lighter.. Common, this is a video game.  I have to say though, I can\'t wait for the second Warlords.  I can only imagine.... You want a long game with TONS of story that keeps you interested, get Soul Reaver 2.

Sorry to hear that. I guess either u have to move to a country with NTSC standard or just buy the NTSC version of the games.
