A New Science Question, YAY!!

You guys are kidding me.

The "speed of gravity" is the same as light. The earth would be flung into the depths of space at the same moment we lose light. The actual position of ejection from our orbit would be tangential to our current position at roughly 67,000 mph and from there the earth would become a VERY VERY large asteroid, unless we\'re lucky enough to be caught into the orbit of something else a few lightyears down the line. We wouldn\'t drift in any circular manner for any amount of time after we lose gravity.

^^^Its been a long time since I took Physics(about a year?) and I don\'t think Gravity has a speed. It is a force that is determined by many different factors ie. weight of object/Pull/ Friction/ etc.

I could be wrong; but I\'m probably not.

Wait, now that I think about it. Why the hell would gravity itself have a speed? Get out of here with that crazy talk.

Oh it does indeed sound insane, and was debated for a long time before it had been all but proven that gravity travels at the speed of light.

I believe gravity has some wave properties which led theorists to that conclusion.

I got a bit of a laugh from this statement. Don’t know why, I just did.

Also, has anybody taken into consideration that without the sun we might get a bit cold? Just wondering.
