Why Xbox Is Best

Hay everybody! I am an Xbox owner, and I definitely think it is the best system out there. I am going to tell you all why I think it is the best, and you can tell me what you think... Honestly, I think you guys should get an Xbox. So, here are my reasons:

1. The games! There are many remarkable games out right now, but the games that are coming out are what are going to blow you away. I know you guys are going to reply to this and say the only good game Xbox has is Halo, but have you played any of the other games. Right now there is Oddworld, Rally Sport Challenge, Spider Man, DOA3, Gunvalkyrie, Tony Hawk 2X and 3, and much more. These are just the ones I\'ve played. The games coming out that I\'m looking forward to are going to be awesome. These are Project Ego, Brute Force, Star Wars: KOTOR, Soul Calibur 2, Unreal Championship, Ghost Recon, Morrowind, Hunter, Gun Metal, etc. These are just the big games. If you have no idea what they are, then I would suggest going over to GameSpot and looking them up. They are going to be awesome.

2. The hardware! Xbox is the most powerful gaming system out, with the best graphics. You\'ve probably all have seen Xbox\'s specifications compared to PS2\'s. Xbox\'s are better. Don\'t forget it has a built in hard drive.

3. The built-in ethernet card! I am already playing Halo online against other players. Soon, XboxLive! will be released, and Xbox owners will be able to play each other online, buying only one inexpensive addon, the Xbox Communicator. The Xbox Communicator is a microphone/headphones that every online Xbox game will use. The cost of XboxLive! is unknown right now, but is supposed to be very cheap. Much cheaper then what PS2 owners will need to play online. PS2 owners will need to buy a modem ($40), a hard drive ($100), and the online subscription ($?).

4. The accessories! The Xbox controller is the most comfortable controller I\'ve used. And, no, I\'m not a giant. It isn\'t too big. If you\'ve tried the Xbox controller and didn\'t like it, it is probably because you are used to the PS2 controller. If you just can\'t stand the Xbox controller, there is a new official controller out that is smaller. It is called the S Controller. Compared to the PS2 controller, it is great! Personally, I don\'t like the PS2 controller. The analog sticks are way too low. It doesn\'t make sense. Also, there are many other accessories out for Xbox, including the DVD playback kit.

5. The graphics! Almost all Xbox games are impossible on PS2 because of the graphics. And please don\'t say there is barely any difference. Believe me...there is!

I\'ve seen project gotham and I dont think graphically it is as good as GT3. Halo looks okay. Those controllers are also too damn chunky.

Why would this thread get closed?  This is the console debating forum, right?  And, DUH, I\'m a newbie.  Do you think I like to talk about PS2, when I like Xbox???  I have my own Xbox site I go to.  And what do you mean my post isn\'t intelligent, I gave many clear reasons why Xbox is better than PS2...

Don\'t be too harsh on him....he\'s obviously excited about a brand new console he has got, and wants to tell everyone why he loves it. So what?

Well, this is all I can think of now. Post your replies! I\'m anxious to see what you think.

1. Either they\'re new or have been made on the PS2 already.
2. They\'re equally same to a point.
3. About the only cool thing.
4. PS2 controller--buttons are easy to reach.  Xbox controller--too damn big and buttons have to be reached for.
5. Graphics...compare.  Ridge Racer V--Almost the same exotic cars.  Project Gotham Racing--Originally going to be on the Dreamcast.  Yes there are differences in some of the games but almost all the games for Xbox have been on a different console.

1. Yes, EITHER THEYRE NEW or theyve been on the PS2.

2. They are not equally same at all!  Xbox has a hard drive and an ethernet card.  PS2 doesn\'t.

3. Yes it is cool.  But WTF is an internet card?  Its ethernet.

4. I don\'t have to reach for the buttons.  But if you don\'t like it, theres the "S" controller.  The PS2\'s controller\'s analog sticks are way too low!  

5. Face it!  Xbox has better graphics.

He is entitled to his opinion on which one he thinks is best. I just don\'t understand why some of you are so defensive. Too attack the console like it has any control over what a fan says.

Truthfully who can say which is better? Performance wise xbox is the best console. As of now ps2 is the overrall best console. It has been out longer than all the others and it has a larger variety of games. Later on down the line then we can attest and see who has the better but as of now xbox has not been out long enough to be the best overrall.

WHy would I close this?  The guy is posting why he likes the Xbox, why should it be subject to closing?  He didn\'t bash anyone, he didn\'t rip on the PS2 to no end, and it\'s well thought out and constructive.  He also asks for opinions on the matter, agreeing with or disagreeing with him.  What\'s the big deal?

Thank you all for supporting my post.  The folks over at xboxfantasy.com were less than happy about it.  I posted the same sxact thread there, and a mod closed it within a few minutes.

ok, i wasnt gonna get involved but i have one question

do you SERIOUSLY think the xbox has any chance on earth of catching  PS2 in sales?  or will it merely surpass  the xbox-haters expectations cause they thought it would flop?

please think VERY carefully how you answer as it will affect yer credibility here.

we support and promote a multi-console mentality here

thats the key to acceptance.  its yer opinion and stick by it.  i certainly dont agree with it, but hey, this is what makes the world go around [and post counts go up]

i own all three consoles and certainly prefer my PS2 cause the others have one A+ title [halo and rogue squadron II] and then TONS of ports and lots of creampufs

Out of all of you that have replied to this, I agree with qudus the most.  The future is going to be totally different than now.  That is why I don\'t just judge the consoles on their current status, I look at the long run also.  The future of Xbox looks excellent, with lots and lots of great games and online gaming.  PS2 has reached its maximum with graphics.  PS2 gamers keep on bragging about these half a year old games like GTA3 and MGS2.  They won\'t matter soon.  After E3, online gaming is going to kick off and Xbox has everything it needs built in.  PS2 needs a modem and a hard drive to play online ($140.)  Xbox is going to have killer RPGs and FPSs like Project Ego and Unreal Championship.  I think it will be hard for PS2 to get many ppl online because of the costs.  I have to admit, you guys are really nice for PS2 fans.  If I ever liked PS2 (it aint gonna happen), I\'d come here. ;-)

i think yer forgetting a MAJOR point about online gaming.  xbox is broadband only.  do you realize how many console gamers only have access to 56k?  they\'re outta luck if they own an xbox.

Hotshot, well first of all kudos on making a well thought out and non-flamitory post on why you prefer the Xbox. As much as it may seem the opposite at times, all opinions are welcome as long as they don\'t involve the tearing down of another system. Well, alot of the PS2 supporters get away with it.. but you have to understand this forum\'s history and remember that this IS a PS2 oriented site.

Also, try to learn the difference between a flame and a well placed jab in the ribs. Alotta members here are pretty cynical and talk trash when they don\'t really mean to come off as a ranting fanboy. This got NYPPZ into alotta trouble (mainly from ME ) when he first got here, but he\'s learned to go with the flow since then and has become a productive member. (Tho I think he quit not too long ago)

Lastly, we\'re not idiots.. (barring a few members) and many of us DO own Xbox\'s or plan on owning them. We know the facts behind the Xbox, PS2, and NGC and have made our own choices for whatever personal reasons. A good place to start would be to do what you\'ve just done.. but try to "convicince" us a little less. Just tell the features you like about it and discuss it\'s ups and downs when compaired to other consoles.

Of course, all that will probably get thrown out the window once Chrono or GmanJoe enters the thread.. but just try to ignore the bias fools. Remember.. no village is complete without one or two of em.
