Of course Sony is bigger than Microsoft. But that doesn\'t mean it\'s richer, like everyone here seems to believe. In reality:
Income Statements for Microsoft:
Sales                                     $27.7B (Basically the size of the company)
EBITDA                                  $13.1B (Meanless, basically the earnings before the bills are considered)
Income available to common $6.37B (The amount of money actually made)
Income Statements for Sony:
Sales                                     $59.2B (Bigger than Microsoft\'s, of course, but)
EBITDA                                  $5.71B (Smaller than MS\'s)
Income available to common $72.9M (Much, much, much smaller!)
Also,
Financial Strength for MS:
Current Ratio 4.04 (4 times more assets than liabilities)
Debt/Equity    0 (NO long term debt!)
Total Cash    $38.7B (A F---load of cash!)
Financial Strength for Sony
Current Ratio 1.30 (More liabilities per asset)
Debt/Equity   0.50  (Quiet a bit of long term debt!)
Total Cash   $6.65B (And a lot less cash!)
Plus,
Market Capitalization for MS    $282.9B :thepimp:
Market Capitalization for Sony $50.3B

It seems pretty obvious that Microsoft is clearly the richer of the two, and I don\'t know why anyone thinks otherwise.
