Apple blows.  I use one at work and it is one of the stupidest things in the world for business.  We constantly get things in at work and I have to freaking bring the stuff home, connect my Mac to my PC and transfer it.

I know they have virtual PC, but it creates its own partition and they don\'t share.

I hate the Mac.  It does absolutely nothing a PC can\'t do better.  It\'s more expensive.  Software is WAY more expensive.  And there is very little software out there.

Why anyone would buy one is beyond me.  Usually they are elitest and just plane naive.

bah, OS debating.

Apple is good, people might not like them but they do push the industry forward. They start with colored transparent computers and a bunch of cheap gimmicks follow.

For Photoshop they are much better, as the program is more optimized for the PPC platform than it is the x86.
Color calibration is better.

And with Mac OSX we have a much more stable os with the most advanced display layer ever, Quartz is something pc users can currently dream of, Microsoft is going to have a similar system in it\'s Longhorn release.

I\'ve said it before and I\'ll say it again, both platforms have strengths and weaknesses. I work on both platforms, and I find the MacOS UI to be much more pleasant. Thanks to vectored graphics icons look amazing.

My G4 Titanium crashes 100x\'s more than my PC.

We aren\'t a graphics company.  We use our Macs for business crap.

I\'m not really using OSX.  I\'ve used it a little bit, but none of the programs I have are supported unless you run the OS9 application program.

So until I get programs that are native OSX I just stick with 9.

Stick with PC unless you have a reason to go Mac.

I\'m with No-One on this. Apple rocks! I own two AMD machines and an iMac, since I purchased my iMac last year I haven\'t touched my AMD WinDoze machines. Infact, I have already decided any future computers I own will all be Apple products.

As for the complaints about crashing, limited software and etc. My iMac rarely crashes and I have no problem finding software that does what I need.  And for the person who said "frustrating to use", that is probably because you have no clue what so ever as to what you are doing on it. I have no problems using mine and the only problem I had was when I first got it, because I had no clue as to what I was doin\'. Its just like anything else, there is an intial learning curve.

You do know that Apple has officially stopped all support for OS9/Classic. OSX with the Jaguar release (10,2) will have every advantage that Classic had.

My computer...could be better, but I\'m satisfied for now

900 MHz Celeron
30 gig HD2
56 MB Ram
12x8x24 CD-RW
16x DVD Rom
17" monitor...just a normal one, no flat screen crap or anything.  Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer (god I love that mouse :))
cable modem

Once again, could be better, but for a 17 year old buying it off money earned from some ****ty job, it\'s plenty good enough.
