The thread can easily slide in one direction. Even a subject as simple as that can be percieved as Gamecube boosting, which alot of PS2/X-box fanboys will be defended by.

Ginko is absolutely correct about everything.  There will be a forum for a discussion, and a forum for trash.  The trash will obviously be popular, but I\'m guessing the more intelligent posters will know how to handle themselves in each board.

Yes Vapor, you can turn every thread in this whole goddamn message board into to some sniveling whining debate as you have shown us here, but that doesn\'t mean that these boards will not be cleaned and enforced as necessary.  When sh*t hits the fan in this board, there\'s nothing to do with it except close it.  Now, we can move it to the part of the board where that crap is totaly accepted and is classified as "the norm."

If you want intelligent discussion about multiple consoles, you\'ll stay in console discussion.

If you want trash talking moronic behavior, visit the console war room or some crap like that.

Eh... go for the split thing.

It\'s not really going to help cure anything around here in regards to fanboyism and flaming.  It\'ll simply give the mods and admins a more justified reason to edit posts and deal with certain blind, stubborn members.  But dividing the multi-console portion of the forum will be like a breath of fresh air to those who don\'t want to put up with such things, so I\'m all for it.

I think we should make a new forum called "DA" where we send all the dumbasses.  And make me the moderator so I can stir them up to fight for my amusement.

I voted #1 because I think you should just enforce all the rules, in all the forums.  There\'s no point in making exceptions for people/forums, because people are just going to keep pushing the bounds of acceptabliity.

Personally, I\'ve seen with great success, forums labeled the SPAM/FLAME forum, where posts don\'t count.  It sickens me to see two or three people flame each other 5-6 times in thread after thread, and have that contributing to their post count, which makes an initial impression of someones value and dedication to the board.

I voted for splitting the forums. I\'ve seen the Mod\'s try to "tighten" the rules before, and it never worked. People still got away with flamming, swearing, etc.

A split seems the way to go. I propose we call one "Mister Rogers multi-console neighborhood" and the other "Console Smack Down!" or something along those lines. We could even continue calling it Console Debating seeing as how not much will change unless guidelines already in place are enforced.

It would be better though if a certain pompous hypocritical moderator had no say in what goes on in the CD forum. I won\'t name any names but his initials are RYU. I mean seriously, which one should be less tolerated, bashing consoles or bashing people?
