Like when Bbleem! for Dreamcast was coming out, Sony told retailers if they carried it, their PS2 shipments would be "late" so to speak.
They also told EB and such to not advertise or hype the XBox just like they did a year earlier with PS2 or they would miss out on shipments or games.
When Sony plays dirty, they can be just as bad as MS or worse. clowd, make reasonable arguments. IIRC, Sony spent 125million on PSX\'s launch, which was a TON of money back then for the game market, they also snatched up Psygnosis, Verant, Naughty Dog, and a couple others.
It seems Sega was too nice to retailers, or they just didn\'t hold ANY weight.
