the only difference anymore is games

do you want halo 2?
or do you want mario, celda, and metriod?

Star Fox, Eternal Darkness, RE2,3,4,Veronica, F-Zero, Perfect dark, MArio Tennis, Mario Sunshine, Pikimin 2, ect.

I would be able to name more X-Box games but i dont pay attention to their line up.

1.FF7
  2. Grandia
  3. MGS
Is it me? Or does PSone own all the other systems?

I am thoroughly impressed with your ability to out-do yourself everytime...

This is perhaps your finest hour...IMO.

still laughing

This moment should be framed or something for onlookers and smartasses to admire forever...

blade, that was about the dumbest thing you could\'ve said in a topic like this. I was still asleep at the time I made my last comment, but I realised that this topic\'s initiator asked what he should buy, I told him straight out. If you give ANY straight answer in a thread like this, you MUST be biased by your comment, correct? Note that I am not making fun of you, but that was a pretty poor comment you made.

cloud345 - why state Halo 2 at all, then? That was stupid and it makes you look like a jackass. "Well, XBox has Halo 2. BTW, Here are some of the great games and rehashes that are going to be on GC!!!!!" Pretty dumb.

Since you have already stated GC games, let me state some XBox games:

Panzer Dragoon Orta, Raven Shield, Splinter Cell, Blinx, Project Ego, Unreal Championship, Halo 2, Project Gotham 2 (both online), Sega\'s 2K3 games all online, Spikeout Extreme (online), Sega GT 2002 (later with booster disk for online), Crazy Taxi 3 (rehash :p, but it has been getting very good scores), Shenmue II (the greatest game of our time), MGS2: Substance (rehash, but adding crap), Steel Batallion (controller...wowzas!), etc.

and you forgot PSO Episodes I and II and Super Monkey Ball 2, chummmmmmmmmp.

the only difference now is the AMOUNT of games. Even with XBox\'s sheer amount of releases, it still maintains a better good to crap ratio over PS2, even though it has it\'s Kabuki Warriors and Azurik\'s. :) Both are great systems, but XBox has more games, more developer support, and more exclusive games.

Hehe, I\'m getting rather tired of people criticizing my posts..

Quote

You really can\'t go wrong with either one..

Just head over to GameSpot or IGN, check out the games for each console.. and decide.

I myself picked a GameCube, and it\'s working out great. I would wager that the Xbox is a worthy buy too.

Does this sound good to you? Even though I am a Nintendo fan, I gave this guy a totally unbiased answer. If you like what GameCube offers, get GameCube. If you like what Xbox offers, get Xbox. Enough said, right?

Your post, on the other hand.. seemed to have a hint of bias in it. Let me highlight my point.

Quote

If you are in the US, get an XBox. MS has shown everyone they are willing to stick around and have been bringing out solid titles every month.

Get a Gamecube if you live anywhere else but North America or Australia. MS hasn\'t been quick to get releases out in those countries. It all comes down

1)Playing alot of very good games with a couple GREAT games a year.

or

2) Playing a handful of GREAT games a year, with the rest of them being overly blah.

XBox has nearly twice the games of GC in America and that doesn\'t look like it is changing anytime soon. Of course, I would tell you to get both, otherwise you will miss out on Mario, Zelda, what looks to be the better version of PSO, Monkey Ball 2, etc. or Halo 2, Project Ego, Panzer Dragoon, Shenmue series (it\'s in the bag pretty much ), online sports from Sega, BC, etc.

If you\'re in the US, get an Xbox? What if he doesn\'t like what Xbox offers? You must agree that "if you\'re in the US, get an Xbox" was far more silly than anything I said. (well, maybe not.. I lost it a bit after that first post.. ;))

Good games, great games, blah games.. all subjective. Yet again you inject bias into your comments.. which is acceptable. We all make biased posts.. myself especially.. but if you\'re going to point the finger at me, calling my posts stupid.. take a look in the mirror. I\'m not the one that gave my choice an unfair advantage in my suggestion.

I know my comment was biased, I enjoy the XBox more than the gamecube. Can I give straight answers and be unbiased in this thread. Later, my post above, I detailed some of the great upcoming games for XBox which help support my decision. I don\'t think he wants to be told "Go get the one that best suits your needs" He wouldn\'t come here if he didn\'t already try that, no?

You know, N came into this generation stating that it\'s all about games.

It\'s funny, because I don\'t consider them a viable option for me because they have no games that compell me to buy it.

N said they had learned from the mistakes of the N64, but it sure as hell doesn\'t look like it.

I think that is what Beast is implying.

I\'ll sum it up in 2 sentences, Watchdog:

1. Most developers had little faith in GameCube after the N64, thus they were slow to start on development.

2. Once the developmental ball is rolling for GameCube, it won\'t stop.

I hate this thread...
