D3 you mean

its not confirmed, and i think it would be foolish for them to do so
they want security above all else (kinda like m$, where they sacrifice functionality)

the want D3 to be COMPLETELY controlled which means storing all character and game data on THIER servers to discourage cheating (which it probably wont).  

when they charge a monthly fee, it will restrict purchases
i wont buy thier game if thier gonna charge monthly to play it, and there\'s millions and millions out there that think the same.  i paid over 50$ for D2 and i can play online for free.

Paying for playing is fine if the game runs smooth and the cheating is nil. If they want to charge for D3 and it runs like butter (the first day, even) and the cheating is killed, then even I would play, and I don\'t enjoy any Blizzard games.

The same goes with XBox Live. You are paying for the quality of the service. Only with this you get many variances in types of games and their manufacturers. I really don\'t care that EA isn\'t (at this time) making online titles for XBox since I haven\'t really enjoyed one of their console games for a long time.

EA completely dominates the sports genre, and sells MILLIONS and MILLIONS of titles that (almost definately) wont appear on xbox live

untill you put that money down and login, you cannot call it quality of service.  m$ is baiting you guys, im sorry you dont see it

unless of course they start losing money on console online games because they don\'t charge at first, then what will they do? Whip out the "We make ALL the games you love. Gives us 10 bucks a month and you can play them online." card. With XBox Live, doesn\'t MS give lower fees to developers who add online functions to their games? This means EA would make money off of putting online games on XBox without doing anything other than put the code in.

Microsoft doesnt charge for these games

But charges for online x box games

They arent even serious about your business with x box,  they are just trying to slow Sony down

D2 stored all character data on Blizzard servers and it was much better.  You simply could not play D1 without a hacked character--everyone was cheating and it ruined the game.

Now to take care of the simpletons:
