Next time, build it yourself.. or have someone else build it for you. Don\'t buy from Compaq, Gateway, Dell, or whatever. They make computers for idiots.. something you buy, use, throw away. Integrated cards on the Mobo are junk and a headache, at best.
Really, it\'s not THAT hard to do.
Edit: MM, I severly DOUBT that Compaq will have his Mobo\'s manual on their site. Clowd, you\'re best bet is to look at the board for it\'s manufactuer. The Name printed in big logos on the chips.. those are usually Bios makers. The Board make and model should be along the edge somewhere or between your expansion slots. Use that to help you track down the company who actually made the board. Then just look up their site, find your model, and download the manual for it. I\'d say that\'s your best bet at this point if you want solid info on how your board works.
If the information\'s not there, you may wanna look up your bios string number (another form of ID) and contact the tech support on the site which made your Bios. They might be able to offer you help on configuring your Bios or at least updating. I\'d still check out the board manufacturer\'s site first.
