Probably because a lot of people don\'t want to lose everything on their hard drive, so they have to back up a lot of stuff first.

Hell I don\'t mind that at all. I\'d only need to install necessities anyway, perhaps a fresh start would be for the best.

backing up a comp that\'s infected with a virus isn\'t a good idea.  because you might reinfect yourself.
