I would assume so.  And you can see it in interviews.  Devs ask about other versions and they dodge the question.  No one wants to commit, and even when they do you can\'t bank on it.

For those of you who want Splinter Cell on the PS2, I suggest you pray that it doesn\'t do very well.

While not directly related, it does show exactly how committed and determined MS is about being successful in this business. They want new franchises and properties especially--SP could be that game.

No need to pray for something that\'s already a given. :p

On topic, yep, Sony and Microsoft are both guilty of bribing companies.  Don\'t be surprised if we see Halo 2 on the PS2 and GT3 on the Xbox.  lol.

No POW is still multi--it was a typo or a bad translation, I can\'t remember which.

Sony knows quality?  Yeah, it only took 5 million sales for them to realize that GTA3 was a winner.

Why don\'t you think SC will be successful Ironfist?  Previews have been positive.  Graphics are stunning.  And despite how I feel about the gameplay, the Metal Gear model sells.

Yeah, but they beat Microsoft to the punch.  Also, you don\'t know how long the wheels were turning before the announcement was made.  They could have been negotiating even before it was released for all we know.

They beat them to the punch perhaps, but they also were in the game first with Rockstar and had the initial exclusivity contract.  It was Sony\'s to loose.

Yeah I don\'t know, they could have been talking about that before the game was even finished, but they could have started talking a day before E3.  The point is that neither of us knows, and it is moot.

What is it mm, "almost" or "hasn\'t"?

guess we\'re seing a classic case of fighting fire with fire. A shame though, I would have prefered to see GTA3 go to the other platforms and have Halo for PS2... oh well, can\'t have everything I guess.

GTA3 was originally planned for release on the Xbox, but an exclusive deal with Sony will keep GTA off any other console.

You know that rumour that appeared on Gaming-Age which said Sony had bought the exclusive rights to GTA3?

Rockstar refused to say anything then and it took them a while before they confirmed it.

So Id say the wheels had been turning for some time even before the rumour appeared. :)

What I think he means is, that a new trend has started on leaving the Xbox out in the cold.. So to speak *wink* ;)
