Baseball trades

Well we are entering the time of the year that baseball trades start taking place, and I\'m glad to say that it looks like the Giants got on hell of a deal!  They got Kenny Lofton to play Center, and lead off.  Today he is tearing it up!!  It\'s the 6th inning, and he has hit a homer, got a triple, and scored two runs, he\'s looking amazing!

I\'ll trade serrano for an intelligent forum member anyday. :D

The reds lost Encarcion but got Dempster.  Hopefully the Reds whip him into shape by next season.  And having Bonds and Lofton would be nice.

I\'m still waiting for the Mets to do something...

However, my preseason series picks were the As and the Cards.  Each team has really helped themselves so far.  The As got Durham to fill their hole at 2b and give them so great spead.  The Cards got Rolen, a starting all star to play 3b for them.  Those could really help push them to the next level.

I couldn\'t believe the cards got Rolen without giving up much at all, not even a third baseman.

polanco is a good player, but not as good as rolen, and seeing as how they both play 3rd, that says the phillies just neded a third baseman to replace rolen.

bud smith is who the phillies wanted. he was the key to the deal.

the cubs should have got rolen though... did i mention how much i hate the cubs?

i dont really see any big trades tomorrow, ill be surprised if anything huge happens.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its good to have another great hitter in the line up.  Although I think they needed another starting pitcher more.

We might get some good use out of floyd tho.

D-Backs didn\'t make any changes, which is fine. They\'re rolling right now (7 out of there last 8) with Johnson and Schilling pitching the next 2 games. They have a rookie who they brought up a few weeks ago and he\'s pitched two great games, in his 2nd start he threw a 7 inning shutout. Hopefully he\'ll keep performing, and with Miguel Batista and Brian Anderson pitching solid as of late, they\'re gonna be hard to beat.
