Clear Evidence on why Sega is so stupid.. (or being paid)

As you may know, Crazy Taxi 3 was xbox exclusive...
Great for xbox owners and sega right?

Well, aparently not

Take these sales from July:

PS2 CRAZY TAXI 16,077 (330,877)
XBX CRAZY TAXI 3 15,135 (15,135)
GCN CRAZY TAXI 4,521 (108,874)

Yes, you are reading that right
The ps2 version of Crazy Taxi (the crappy port) outsold the brand new xbox version which include the entire original Crazy Taxi..
Yet they made it xbox exclusive..

So smart Sega! Right on your way to becoming the #1 3rd party..

sega is gonna take midway\'s "console whore" title before long

they have one chance to retain any ounce of respect in my eyes, and that is PDO

if they screw that up, thats it
they become another 989 studios to me

Still, if you compare those figures to the number of people who own Xbox v. the number of people who own ps2, the xbox has a pretty good games sold / systems owned ratio.

that system has even less in the USA then the xbox

I was comparing the Xbox and ps2 versions, not anything with GCN.  I guess we\'ll just have to see how the next few months of sales pan out for Crazi Taxi.

While those sales #s show clearly Sega continues to make stupid decisions, the why part of the question remains cloudy.

I remember reading someplace not too long ago Sega will be focusing mainly on PS2 after this fall so maybe they\'re finally learning.

Yah Heretic.. they keep saying the ps2 is their primary platform.. but month after month they show nothing.. E3 Comes by and they show Shinobi.. and the INCREDIBLY short Gungrave (movies are longer then that game.. and no reason to replay it).. and thats it.. and months pass and still nothing.

Seems like a bunch of BS to me.

If its true then I take back everything I said.. however they have said similar things in the past and nothing happened

Phantasy Star 5 would make up for eveything IMB (in my book)

I don\'t know what the time lag is between what a dev says they will do and when we see it in terms of actual games but I\'m fairly certain it will take the rest of this year before Sega comes thru on the commitments they made over a year ago (when they might have thought xbox had a chance to make a real impact)

45 is the number of Sega games I heard in the works for PS2 as well, with a remaining 15 or so to be split between xbox and GC.
