9-11 ...2002?!?
« on: August 31, 2002, 12:59:30 AM »
Well its almost a year since the 9 - 11 bombing on the WTC. About 12 more days and it\'ll be 9/11/2002. I\'m sure there will be a nation wide candle light vigil or something in memory of those who lost their lives during that attack. All I have to say is, bust out your candles and show some respect.

Also, is the attacks over? Do you think there could be an attack on 9/11/2002? I hope not. What do you guys think? How was 9/11 effected you personally and what will you do in remembrance of that day.
Oro?!?

LOVE AND PEASU!!! LOVE AND PEASU!!! LOVE AND PEASU!!!

Man, it\'s been a year already? I really don\'t think another attack will happen.. Fat chance.

Don\'t think I\'ll be doing anything on that day, just a regular day for me..

I say screw that stuff. While respect for the dead and that day should be had. Pansy americans that still havent gotten over this yet make me sick.

Yes it was a terrible event...Yes many lives were lost.

The thing that gets me though is the thought that we have to mourn for an entire year over this. Get over it, ppl die..this type of thing happens almost everyday elsewhere in the world.

I think people kind of had it in the back of their minds that we are/were supposed to be shielded from this type of thing and were running around blind.

I think we as a country just need to get over that shit and continue to be the strong country that we are supposed to represent.

Just so you know..nothing is directed at you specifically.

You never cease to amaze me lukee. You should just feel "luckee" you didn\'t lose your father, mother, or close family member in that attack. You might have a different opinion had that happend.

That day marks a day in history, and people will always remember it. Your attitude towards 9/11 is pathetic. Sure life goes on, but for people that lost loved ones, it\'s not so easy to sweep it under the rug and "get over it" Your comments show your true self. Want to know what I think? Sure you do, I think your the "pansy American" and you "make me sick"

Have a nice day :)

I must say, I just love the way these forums have turned into a war zone as of lately. Yet another decent thread flushed down the drain.

Yes..Im the pansy american that has enlisted.........try again

I love this country, but I hate its holier than thou and nothing matters untill it hits home attitude. Yes, this day does mark our history, like so many in the past, but you can\'t tell me it is not time to move on. 9/11 is and has been the subject to be mentioned one way or another through friends or the media EVRYDAY damn day since last year. It gets old quickly. We have retaliated to the best of our abilities(which is another subject) and that is that.

It is and has been time to re-phuckin-build. Airlines are still suffering b/c ppl are scared to fly. The economy is still hurting in many area\'s where it shouldnt/wouldnt be if ppl were able to leave this alone and pay hommage when necessary instead of being afraid everyday.

I didnt lose a loved one in that tragedy, but I did have a good friend injured and yes..Im quit sick at the fact that he was b/c of an act of terrorism, but like myself, even he has stated to me to be over this.

If anything, we need to continue our way in spite of such things to show "them" that we will not be stopped nor intimidated.

I may not cease to amaze you b/c I am not afraid to say what I feel unlike most ppl. I have no shame in that.

Just so you know dajo..no hard feelings towards you or disrespect intended.

LIC..I beg to differ..while alot of stuff seems to be that way, often it isnt if people would check their ego\'s at the door. I admit I try to, but am not always so successful. To me this is nothing more than a difference in opinion. I find it all dandy as long as ppl can stay respectful.

I hate you LIC!

You smell of pee.

As for the topic, I don\'t think the terrorists are gonna do anything. If anything, they\'d try again when people aren\'t quite expecting it.

Thats what I was thinking..if anything..probably not for at least another year once they perceive our "guard" to be down.

Usually a tribute is done for something in the past to remember an event.  Well the media has been shoving 9-11 down our throats for 350+ days now.  I personally don\'t think I\'ll be watching all the media blow out on that day.  It will be an interesting day, but I\'d rather remember the day on my own.

As for something happening.  Doubt it, but I don\'t know and don\'t care.  Not much I can do about it so why worry.

Uhh.... I dunno. NOthing special.

Although, I figured something wrong will happen, and they will try to link it to a terrorist attack. BTW; any news on Osama?

Did you know anyone who died in the event?  If not, shut up.  Seriously.  When you know people who die this way, it\'s something completely different.

It\'s hard to believe that it\'s been a year already... Kinda strange how it feels like it happened just a few days ago, as I still remember exactly what I was doing when I first heard the news.

I don\'t expect anything to happen this coming 9/11 outside of the standard memorial services and ceremonies.  Our defensive guard will be quite high that day, I\'m guessing, so any terrorists should know better than to try anything.
