You know what Im saying. Even still, Im sure they have shitloads of plans they can use when ever they feel the need to.

Bah! Your right luckee, terrorism isn\'t rocket science. It\'s pure stupidity by smart people. And attacks as large as 9/11 don\'t come together easily.

Ok where shall I start? Well way back in 1996 I believe, many plans could have been coming together. Al-Queda members went around making home movies of American landmarks. The Golden Gate Bridge, The Sears Tower, The Statue Of Liberty, and the WTC. Their were many more landmarks on these tapes. We have a numerous amount of these tapes in our possesion.

The way the tapes are filmed, you can definatley tell they aren\'t just sight seeing. They took detailed shots of the support structures on the GGB. They also filmed the surroundings of the WTC. And many other small details.

You can\'t put an attack together of great magnitude in a short time. It takes years to finalize the small details. Months before 9/11 Al-Queda members had handheld GPS and went to the top of the towers and got the exact cordinates. It was all brilliantly planned,  and that is what scares me the most.

As for the WTC attack the hijackers lived here in the US for many years. Taking classes (as luckee mentioned) and just trying to fit in. They aren\'t the ones that planed it, they just simply executed it when told to do so. Many of them didn\'t even know they were going to die. It\'s been said that only Muhamadd Atta knew the details, and the others that piloted the other planes knew. Their is really no way of knowing this for sure.

The only terrorism that isn\'t carefully planned IMO, is when they strap bombs on their backs and detonate themselves in crowded areas. And still this takes time, they can\'t plan it overnight. Thankfully, this hasn\'t happened in the USA.

The first bombing on the WTC took many years to plan. And they just parked a van rigged with explosives in the underground parking lot next to a main support wall. Sounds easy doesn\'t it?

With the nation on such high alert it\'s not going to be easy to pull off another attack that large. But we aren\'t bullet proof and we don\'t  have a Great Wall keeping people out of our country. So yes, we will be attacked again and it will be a plan that has been carefully disected to the smallest of details when executed. And it will have been planed for many years.

It takes a lot of money to execute these attacks too. And we all no Bin Laden has plenty of $ I could go on and on, but most of you won\'t read all this anyways and I\'m getting tired.

But it takes a lot of TIME, and very SMART people to plan attacks such as the WTC attack.

I know it can take a while..hell the best plans do take a long time. My point was that it doesnt have to take years to pull off a devistating attack.

Well it does esp if you read some info

beacuse other than the flight trainning there was clearly the

Funding Stage Before the operation could begin they had to have receved the funding from either

1st party
Taliban (through the sale of opium poppies)

or

3rd party
Rouge State (Iraq for example and through the sale of Illegaly shipped crude Oil to India and Pakistan)

Initial Planning stage (the Special Forces and then the CIA found Plans in Afghanistan which even included VIDEO footage of the twin towers)Also there was deatiled plans on Air ports and Aircraft to be selected
.....
there is also the extremly High possability that "planners" visted Airports in order to observe Airport Security and bagage handeling procedures

Method SelectionThen there was the selection of the methods used (in this Case Low tech weapons to get past low Security in internal flights)

as well as reducing the risk of Air port detection , it also reduced the risk of onboard detection by cabin Staff or Passagers.

Personel Selection Then there was the actual selection of the Hi Jackers / Suicide teams , they where selected for this mission and their rolls (this is ware the flying training came in for the 4 that would take over the controls after the flight crew were taken care of)

Date Selection and implimentaion in this Final stage a date and Flights were selected, in this terrorist attack they selected as we know 4 internal Flights that were assured to have the following requirements.

  • they had to either leave that the same time or could all be in the Air at the same time long enough for them to be taken at the same time.
  • Their destiantions were selected to ensure that they flights carried next to full tanks
  • Their flight paths were also slected to ensure that when the take over occured, it would ensure the least possible time from Take over to target (this was done to reduce the likely hood of interseption)

so as you can see it was HARDLY a case of just a hand full of Nutters with box cutters

I\'d be more worried about poison in water supplies and stuff like that. I guess it depends on what effect the terrorist(s) wants. A large scale attack like the WTC, or a more silent terrorist attack - like poisoning water. I know what I\'d choose - the latter. Kinda scary actually.

EDIT: You sure know a lot about the attacks ooseven.... TERRORIST!!!111
