BAD NEWS for European Shenmue Gamers!

The only thing the Xbox verions has over the DC version, that I can tell, is less aliasing problems.

shenmue 2 is a niche title that only the cultured gamers love and wont do dick to help xbox sales.  in a sense, it should have came out in the US where it belonged.  on the dreamcast

Just look picture on the Xbox again. First off the screens is not clear but you can see the differents. In the Xbox screen shot, just look at the sign. You can see it more sharper. Also, look at his face and neck on both. You can see a differents just looking at the Xbox one has more smooth textures. Do I have to go on?  When the developers says there is more enhancements, believe them. - pstwo

Like mm said, you\'re actually pleased that you had to wait a year for a few minor graphical gimmicks like texture smoothing? Texture Smoothing is NOT a major graphical enhancement.. no matter how you try to spin it. Where are the extra polygons? Where are the extra textures? Where are the extra effects like bump-mapping? Do you see any bump-maping in those pics? I sure as f*ck don\'t.

Those DC screenshots are not indicitive of in-game scenes. They are some of the worst captures I\'ve seen, actually. I even went back to play Shenmue II jus a few mins ago to compair the two, and ya know what? DC Shenmue in-game looks every bit as good as the Xbox screens you posted. Do yourself a favor and actually get the game for the DC and compair it to your Xbox demo. Maybe then you\'ll see what people are trying to tell you.

Watch - Noone is saying the DC version looks better. We\'re saying that for the amount of time it spent in development, and how US DC owners got screwed by MS\'s deal to keep Shenmue II off American shores.. and this is all we get? A sloppy port with a few novelty effects? Ugh.. yeah.. it was worth the wait. :rolleyes:

I had to wait? I\'m not a big fan.  Morrowind eat\'s this game alive!

Please spare me the laughter.  Although Morrowind is a great game, as is Shenmue, they are too different to comepare.  I own Morrowind(PC, not x-flops chug chug version) and Shenmue (DC) and to be honest the RPG world has vastly split into many sub catagories.  While Shenmue focuses on a good story and classic RPG gameplay, Morrowind lets you make your own story focusing on the customization of your character.  The two games are completely different.

Anyways, That\'s a lie.  As soon you get off the boat, you hit the first town and they are all friendly.  Did you even talk to them?  mm, get that game back and play it more.  In Morrowind, I went up to building my own Stronghold and still doing great quest for lot\'s of people and even gods.    Morrowind will open a world like no other.

You know why I thought it was a lie?  Because as soon you get off the boat all the NPCs likes you in all the towns untill you kill someone or steal something and not pay your fines or go to jail.

Did the NPCs see you taking all the items?  They will kill you if they did see you doing it and not just get mad they will attack you to death.  So I don\'t know how if they would be just mad at you.
