Please, do not bring JSRF - it was a disgrace to the so called \'series\'. Unlike Shenmue 2, which is a frickin\' great game...

it wasnt the content of the game, or the game itself that amuses me

it was when they stopped producing it entirely

Samwise: Former NCL president Hiroshi Yamauchi = best video-game company chairman ever, IMO.

Nobody can fully replace him.. they can only try!

I\'m wondering this also...I thought it took everything from the original and made it better, as far as gameplay goes.

Bigger environments, got rid of the horrible hand motions to paint, and made the game all about speed and grinding.

The first one was great, but was soooo slow.  Honestly, I tried playing JGR after I had beat JSRF...couldn\'t do it.

It was dumbed down.
The original was classic. The sequel was dumbed down so anyone could play it and look decent.
Err...

It got turned from a hardcore gamer\'s game, to a game that I\'ve heard people call a "platformer" it\'s so easy.

Either way, it didn\'t make much money. :) Sad.

The first game didn\'t make much money either...just met with critical praise.

NOTHING could have saved JSRF.

hahaha! Dumbed down? Easy? Have you even played JSRF? I think it takes everything that was good from the first, and made it better. The huge enviroments with seamless gameplay did more for me to play the game than anything else.

Try playing the Skyscraper level and tell me the game is easy with a straight face.

It is sad that this game has only sold 80k in the US, it seems more and more of the classics are passed over nowadays.

It\'s a frickin\' 3D platformer on Inline skates.  It does have speed, and some varying objectives, which is why I liked it better than most 3D platformers.

Also why I returned the game a couple of days after purchase.  Just not my style.

Yes, I\'ve played it, I even own it and I don\'t doubt that the SkyScraper level is hard  - but come on. THe new "features" simply added nothing , except to make it look better when new people played.

I don\'t know, I guess I\'m partial to the original Jet Set Radio (it is one of my all time favorite games) and just felt completely dissapointed with the follow up game that Sega offered us. It may even come down to personal taste , but either way, it was one of the reasons I bought an Xbox and it remains one of my strongest dissapointments this year - right next to Gun Valkiyre , which I actually like except for the god awful control scheme.

I enjoy, and fully understand why GV\'s control is as such after playing it for 10 minutes. The game and it\'s controls are brilliant.

Different strokes for different folks, though.
