Final Fantasy X-2? What the...!
« Reply #15 on: October 18, 2002, 02:26:28 PM »
So it is true?

Yuna isnt ment for such a game.I find it a stupid idea.Imagine Yuna doing things like Dante or Lara.Very very stupid to have an innocent, calmy Yuna in FFX and then the opposite character of hers in another game.

BTW:The graphics look improved in the ads I think.

182Ways, thanx for the pics, never seen before.

It\'s advertised in TGS, there are rumors about an action FFX version, there is a short preview in those 182Ways pictures... but Bobs can\'t believe it.

Heh... I say everyone keep an open mind and don\'t be too quick to dismiss it. It might be even more enjoyable than the first. I, personally, am quite fond of Yuna\'s new look... ;)

The picture isn\'t fake, Bobby. It was indeed a huge poster at TGS booth for Square. Scarey, indeed.

Here is something I found at gameforms   today..

Quote
Having saved the world once, Yuna now sets off on an adventure of self-discovery, trying to find something that interests her. She does so with two unnamed female companions, one fighting with a sword and the other some kind of shoulder-mounted weapon. But as they travel, a new evil is brewing in Spira, and the three will be called on to save the land from it again.

If the characters are mostly new, the locations should be instantly familiar. Kilika and many other towns from the original will be visitable again, and some will play a significant role in the new story. These will have changed somewhat since the defeat of Sin, with temples and shrines now openly using once-forbidden machinery. Monsters you\'ve seen before will also appear to challenge Yuna again, proving video game enemies do learn slowly.

The battle system is set for a still-unknown revision, but Square promises things will be more realistic. The biggest known changes are a number of new abilities available on the field map, allowing Yuna and friends to to "climb," "jump," and "run," all pulled straight from the action/adventure style of gaming. No details are yet available on their uses, but the gameplay promises to be something more than FFX with different heroes.

Now that Square is finally making a direct sequel to a Final Fantasy, they don\'t seem to be holding back. One of the most quiet heroines in RPG history in skimpy short shorts and wielding guns as big as her head? This could get very, very interesting. FFX-2 is set for a March 2003 release in Japan, so expect many more details soon.

You can also find artwork and some tiny screenshots.

Well i dont know about all of you and honestly i dont really care but if they do it right i think it could be somewhat "interesting". I dont know about the whole gun thing but it would be interesting to see the world after ti.... i mean the end of ffX cause i thought the ending was ...ho hum. The Rikku game on the other hand might not be as fun, personally speaking because she doesnt have as much depth and impact as yuna but w/e. Thats my 2 cents.

I still believe that photo is a fake tho.

Square were giving away a poster with that image at (as said earlier) TGS!!! It said so in a news story on IGN and other places! It isn\'t fake.

Scans from some mag, don\'t tell me these are fake too (see the first reply)

Hey, I thought I posted something right after my first post quoting the post where you said that... guess I didn\'t. Well, just so you know I didn\'t notice that post until after I posted what I posted (see above).

Umm... Sephiroth died at the end of it...

Would make for a pretty boring game... unless... they did it Weekend at Bernies style!!

I think they mustn\'t touch a myth like FF7...

Where are the ideas???
