And Sephiroth not deep??? Come on Nu, he has so much history, and so much background to him, all that he (thinks he) is fighting to achieve. If you say Sephiroth isn\'t deep, you might as well say Cloud isn\'t deep. Calling them 2-D gives you the impression that he has just one day said "Well, This cereal SUCKS! I\'m taking over the world to create BETTER cereal!!" then you never hear from him again until the final boss fight (or something ). These characters have personality. Probably more so than most other RPG\'s (not all).
He was born to a mad scientist and his assistant, showered in Mako and Jenova Cells, trained and fought \'til he became the top of his class. Eventually finds out about his past(rather, bits and pieces of it), and decides to kill off all of humanity to make himself feel better(With a little influence from Jenova, which wasn\'t quite revealed then).
Sephiroth\'s story pretty much ends there. The rest of the game you\'re following a bunch of Sephiroth clones manipulated by Jenova completely. Playing mind games with Cloud and killing a bunch of sh!t for fun.
That may seem deep for some...
Maybe I\'m being unfair because I consider Jenova the real main villian of FF7... S\'possible.
