jp6666, its just a movie. It was created to entertain and Jackass entertains me. I get to see other people, besides myself, make complete asses out of themselves.

EDIT: I was talking about the show. And you don\'t have to worry about Jackass anymore, the movie is the end.

If a kid is influenced by a movie, than the kid is already mentally disturbed. I grew up on horror / slasher flicks, yet I don\'t go around killing people. Why? Because my mother always reminded me that it was not real and not to mention I had enough common sense to know TV from reality.

If a kid see\'s a stunt on Jackass and tries to do it and ends up killing themselves - good riddance.

hehe, me and my freinds are making a jackass type movie we have about 2 minutes of footage, its all so fake though especially coz when someone hits someonme else with a baseball bat they start laughing and chasing after them (they were padded with pillows) =]

My thoughts on Jackass the movie

How is watching people hurt themselves funny?  What type of society is this the #1 movie in?  Yes some can watch this and not be affected by it but there is others who will try to copy what they see in the film.  I hear people everywhere talking about how how they want to reenact events that happened in the movie calling it \'cool\' and so on. I also personally know someone who set their brother on fire reenacting a scene in one of the Jackass tv episodes which destroyed most of the muscle tissue in his brothers leg.  After he caught on fire the other brother laughed at him for a few minutes like they did in the jack ass episode.... I just feel sorry for anyone who spent $7 to watch garbage.

A few months ago I was at the local Blockbuster,  a kid ran by saying "I like games where you can kill people"  Parents need to be tougher on teens under 17 getting their hands on games like this.  By the way,  what happened to games like SWAT where you were the good guy?  Playing a game like this teaches you to rebel against authority and the like.  

There is nothing good to come out of both of these \'entertainment products\'

Anybody watch the 20/20 on the guy (about 20) who reenacted a suicide in teh game Everquest?  These games affect people more then you think.

Which is worst?  They both are bottom of the junkyard filth but in the long run Jackass will do more damage because of being wider spread and the use of real people for its idiotic stunts

Its up to the parents to decide whether or not to allow their kids to play M rated games. I\'m almost 16 and i\'ve been getting M rated games since I was in 5th grade. Does that make my parents responsible? If the parents feel that their kid could play the game, let the parents be parents.

No it doesn\'t teach you to rebel against authority. Those kind of games allow you to be the bad guy for once and kill people and steal cars without the consequences of doing such acts. They take you away from reality and let you do something that you can\'t do in real life, like shoot gangs with guns, get into gang wars and shit like that. If you reinact something from a movie, you are one twisted soul.
