Bob, I regard Sega as being a has been. Its not a case of once the greatest always the greatest, they, IMO, haven\'t proven themselves for awhile, considering the only thing they have to do these days is dev games and not dev hardware.
Either that or they have just ran out of ideas.
Could it be that since they no longer develop for one piece of hardware they are trying to get use to the multi-platform thing?
IMHO each console has had atleast 1 good game with varying degrees of success.
JSRF was cool, but without enough audience.
Super Monkey Ball 1, and 2 are just awesome. I think it is probably their best success in quite some time.
Shinobi , and Virtua Fighter 4 are great. To me it seems as if though Sega has alot of problems working with the ps2. You could not ask anymore so far as the gameplay goes. If only the graphics were better.
Point being they just have not hit a comfortable spot yet. Once they get the programming on all the systems becomes more natural. I hope to see the Sega of old once again.
As a side note I think that the reason some of their newer games being short is their learning curve. They have not been weined into this situation. They were thrust into it!
