Damn I hate them right now how the f*ck do you blow a 24 point lead and then fumble the snap to fg to win the game, god damn I\'m stopping before I post shit that I don\'t want to.

*end of rant*

That entire 4th quarter, I was reliving the game I believe you are talking about.  1998, Giants, Vikings.  The Giants blew a 14 point lead in the last two mintues to lose the game.

Vid: I don\'t want to call anyone an asshole, or whatever.  I wasn\'t targetting a mod or anything.  I just don\'t like the fact that if someone else says something like that to me, which has happened several times on this board, it means nothing.  However, if I say something like that to a mod, this happens.  *shrug*

Oh well, I\'m over it.  I could care less now ;)

Yeah, you just have to learn who you can really talk to.  I mean, you can\'t fart in front of the queen, but you can do it under your covers and make your girlfriend smell it.

see my point?

That\'s because the queen sets herself apart in every aspect of her life.  Until moderators and admins start posting with a disclaimer in their signatures or something, I\'m gonna treat them how I would treat anyone else.  Besides, as an admin, I would much rather someone say what they are thinking about me than to not say it.

Ok, how about this.  The NFL released an official statement today saying that the refs made the wrong call at the end of the game.  There should have been one more play.

""If defensive pass interference had been called,\'\' an NFL statement explained, "there would have been offsetting penalties (ineligible receiver against the Giants and pass interference against the 49ers), with the down replayed at the original line of scrimmage, the San Francisco 23-yard line. Although time had expired, a game cannot end with offsetting penalties. Thus, the game would have been extended by one untimed down.\'\'

Talk about a screw job.

Here\'s the source

So yeah, I can now say with full confidence that the Giants were screwed out of the game.  Great, just great.

To add on to that, during the FG, #65 (I don\'t have names, I don\'t know the Giants\' O-Lineman outside of Chris Bober) WAS Eligible on the play, due to the fact that he was on the outside of the line, while #69 was not. #65 was the one who was pulled down, thus, Pass Interference should have been called.

Kinda makes you wonder where the **** the refs heads are. If they\'re going to toss people out for stupid actions, maybe they should get their own damn heads checked.

No, Vapor, this was NOT one of the greatest playoff games, unless you\'re a man of screwjobs, which I know you are not.

See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!

The more I read this, the worse it gets.  The man was in fact eligable, so pass interference should have been called.  Not only that, but even if he was ineligable, there should have been another play.  Had everything been called right, the Giants had another play from inside the ten due to them.  Talk about a screw job.  Wow.

I\'m sure he would have shanked the kick anyways or some other typical choke maneuver you\'d expect from the Giants special teams.

Giants deserved to lose that game. Go Niners, beat the Bucs.

Deserved to lose that game?  Ha, yeah, that\'s it

If the right calls are made, the Giants have a FG from extra point range to win the game.  I\'m sure he misses that

You can\'t kick a ball if no one is holding it.

Sucks forg Giants fans, but damn controversy is awesome.

Well if there\'s not gonna be a rematch then this is all pretty much useless info isn\'t it?

The only thing that bothers me is that now regardless how well the Niners do here on out people will keep pointing their finger at this.

Niners won.

I don\'t think you have to worry about the Niner\'s making it much farther.

Niners won.  You know, kinda like the Soviets won the basketball gold in \'72.  And the Giants lost.  Kinda like Roy Jones in \'88.  They should be pointing fingers at this.  The Niners should not have won, and should not still be alive.  Had the right call been made, the Giants have a 20 yard FG to win it.  Had the wrong call been made, they STILL have another shot at the FG.  They weren\'t even given that.  Total screwjob.

The GM of the Giants did a good job taking the high road.  Did you hear him on ESPN?  He was just saying that even with the bad calls they still blew a 24 point lead and that is inexcusable.

You know behind closed dorrs he is pissed as hell, but it\'s good for the game that he is taking the  high road.

All I keep thinking about is Shockey gloating to the camera after his TD and Strahan showing Owens the scoreboard.  HAHAHAHAHA
