Got into a car "accident"

Man, I hate to say it.... But I killed a dog with my car. This just happened about 30 minutes ago. I was driving my girlfriend home, going about 60. It\'s dark, not many street lights, when all of a sudden I see a dog. I was like OMG!!!! Then BOOM, that dog went to doggie heaven. I felt the hit in the front bumper, then me running over it. :eek: I didn\'t swerve, roads were wet....If I did, I probably would have have done major damage to my car, my body, my girlfriend\'s body...No one wants that right?  :o Anyway, my girlfriend is in tears, she\'s going crazy but calms down after a few minutes. I drop her home and say goodbye.

Now, I\'m back at home to inspect my car. The front bumper looks alright, but then I look closer... Under, near the front left fog light is cracked.  The fog light also fell out, but it still works... The bumper is kinda loose on the left side.

Add that to the idiot who keyed the right side of my car, the idiot who left huge scratch marks on the front bumper, the idiot who tried to pierce the front right fender.... Now this. Oh well, all the more reason to get a paint job...... Someday.

You did the right thing.  It sucks but swerving is the worst thing you could do.  BUt then again, driving at a safe speed you would have seen the dog and would have been able to avoid it.

A few years ago on Christmas eve I was driving at night and all of the sudden I notied a puppy in the center of the road wiggling around after he had already been hit.  I couldn\'t stop so I drove over him so he went right under my car.  No problem.  I look in my rear view mirror and the van behind me when directly over him with his tire.  Oh god I was so sad.  But honestly that dog was already severly injured so I guess it was better for him to go right then and there.

That would have left me psychological traumas if I were u.

one time I was driving along and saw a squirrel with its ass-end smashed in the road ahead of me. When I got about 20 feet from it, it got up on its front legs, looked at me, and tried to drag its smashed behind out of the way. I aimed my front tire right for its head and put him out of his misery. That look on his face of complete bewilderment and terror still haunts me, tho. Even though I really don\'t care about squirrels...

Murderers! YOU SHOULD ALL BE ARRESTED.

It\'s the owners fault for leting the dog roam free. Don\'t blame yourself. I have a dog and would never let him out on his own.
