I\'ve had this problem with all my analogue controllers. At least in my case the cause has been a tiny piece of plastic rattling loose in the controller and getting wedged in places it shouldn\'t be at and cruising around the insides of the controller just making a general nuisance of itself (tore up the padded part of the larger vibe cylinder in one of my pads). The part that normally comes loose has something to do with keeping the shoulder buttons not go inside the pad too much when pressed (the D-pad\'s "cross", that holds it in it\'s place is pretty vulnerable too), or something like that, can\'t remember exactly, it\'s been ages since I took a good 2 hours to dis-/reassemble all my pads (and PS, that I managed to fix, hooray). All work fine now...

Or, if you like, just unplug the controller and cut off the wire for some novelty maracas.

You could do it the bild way but its very risky.
I think there is a guide somewhere you could follow.

Here\'s the guide if you have a oscillioscope.

Go on GameFAQs.com. They have a FAQ on how to do it without an oscillioscope.
