It\'s the new 2003 McLaren Mercedes SLR available very soon.  
It will be powered by a 5.4 litre V8 breathed on by AMG. Power will be a monstrous 600bhp. It has an automatic transmission with a 0-60 time of under 4 seconds and will top out at over 200mph.:eek:










Did I mention that the car will cost £250,000 when it is officially available is september :eek:

That is one nice ride...

only thing I dont like is how long the engine area looks.

Meh. Front looks kinda nasty and an automatic gear shift. Not only that but it needs 600bhp and 5.4 litres just to make it under 4 seconds all for how much in american currency? Please, even if i had all the money in the world i wouldnt buy it. Any maranello or modena is at least as good and much prettier. It probably rides so smoothe you cant feel a damn thing you are doing, taking all the fun out of driving it.

Its the sports car for rich old lazy people. Who need a car to add to their somewhat lacking lebido. And i too think it would be better with regular doors.

I love it... with those specs it would EASILY crush a Modena.  And it would pass a Maranello with no problem.  Performance isn\'t the issue.. it\'s whether you prefer German engineering or Italian.

You would be wrong my friend but to each his own. Not only that but the engineering on both the modena and maranello are at least eaqual for their ages. Neither uses more than a 5.8L with 600Bhp to reach the speeds they reach as fast as they reach them which the last time i checked were under 3 or maybe slightly over 4. And youre totally neglecting the other points i made up (while poking fun, they still are valid). Id much rather enjoy driving a manual with a strong chassis where the enjoyment is obviously more enjoyable for a large portion of car enthusiasts.

Im not saying this car sux, but what its offering and for the price, id much rather get something else and more (not to mention with a prettier face IMO). And i love both german and italian engineering but i also much prefer BMW over any Mercedes.

But like I said, to each his own.
