I\'m going to go see it. I\'m sure, though, the only thing it will do is make me wish I was watching the original.

I\'m going to see this because remakes are ALWAYS better than the originals.

I hold out no great hope that it will be good but I will at least see it before I say it\'s a piece of garbage.

by the previews alone, i dun like how they changed things

the original did not have some crying chick being the "hitchhiker"

spoiler from original
[sp]they better, better have not altered the scene where leatherface lifts the chick up and impales her on the meat hook, that is one of the most disturbing scenes of all time[/sp]

[sp]How about the scene where grandpa tries to kill the girl with the hammer?[/sp]

There were so many little moments in Saw1 that were just flawless.  There\'s no way you can improve on them.  You can stage the same scene, film it with the same kind of camera and lense, get down 10 takes, and pick the most identical one, but WHY?

It\'s already been done perfectly.  There\'s no point for this film to exist except to make money.  If I were an aspiring young director I would have NEVER accepted this job.

I hate to defend a remake of anything, but you just don\'t know how they are approaching their version. As a horror fan, I want to see and hope for the best.

I do agree, however, lets see some original movies.

No harm in seeing it. The first one was disturbing, the other remake/sequel from a few years back was borderline crappy to alright.

This one isn\'t original, but it still can be a very good remake.

At least it might be better than that steaming pile of crap called Cabin Fever.

That was one of the worst films of that year. Also one of the most Hollywood productions - I\'m surprised you enjoyed it. I can\'t think of a single redeaming factor..well, other than the Christina Applegate cameo...

Course, you did defend \'The Rock\' and \'Armgeddon\'....Yikes!

:D

Oh and Reese Witherspoon was not in ANY of the Texas movie\'s, Racer. You are thinking of Reene Zilgwinger (or wtf ever - the girl from \'Bridget Jones Diary\'). She was in \'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The New Generation\' .
