Well, I went and seen TCM and let me say, forget this "remake" idea. This movie holds little with the original, other than the Leatherface character and he has been changed.

It\'s really not that bad of a flick. It\'s alittle too polished at times, but the fact is, after watching it, I viewed it more as an expanded story & different group of teens.

Oh and there is a \'Dawn of the Dead\' remake trailer infront of the film.

I take it you was not aware of this remake?

I have to disagree with this one - even if the picked the weakest of the Dead trilogy (I perosnally don\'t care for Dawn).

The original movie is a classic all the other remakes of it have been crappy. This one looks like it will be the best remake so far, but it won\'t ever live up to the original.

I am still debating on if I should see it or not.

Darkness falls sucked major ass

Dreamcatcher was a pretty good movie, dunno if itd be horror, prolly more sci-fi.
It was a darkness all my own, a song played on the radio, It went straight to my heart - I carried it with me - until the darkness was gone.

Thats probley true mm, but im just saying, darkness falls was nothing special. It was cheesey, and it was un-original, the chracters were EXTREMLEY generic and predictable.
It was a darkness all my own, a song played on the radio, It went straight to my heart - I carried it with me - until the darkness was gone.

It didn\'t rip any story off, but it was typical and seemed to be based on the same formula as every crap-horror film made.

Sure the plot was never done before, but that does NOT make a movie good.
It was a darkness all my own, a song played on the radio, It went straight to my heart - I carried it with me - until the darkness was gone.

No, not the plot atleast, but an original plot can still be crappy.

Am I the only one who enjoyed "28 Days Later"?

I\'m going to see TCM tonight btw... Here are some reviews released from it thus far:

Quote
"Vile, ugly and brutal. There is not a shred of a reason to see it." - Roget Ebert

Quote
"...an effectively scary slasher film." - Robert K. Elder

Quote
""Completely watchable, but brings virtually nothing new to the horror/gore table."  - Bob Longino

I\'ll post my views later tonight
