I\'m not trying to say anything specifically about Rya, a person I do not know. I\'m just trying to call attention to the cultural assumptions we may be ignoring. We are conditioned that men give the gifts, and women expect the gifts. Women do give gifts too, but men do not expect them. A further stereotype is that men expect other things that women give in compensation for the gifts. Like I said, there are individuals who overcome the conditioning, but in my experience they are less than common.

But Rya isn\'t feeding off of this sterotype or applying it in any way.  You may just be pointing it out in general, but I think you\'re reading way too much into the topic because it was posted by a woman.  Sure, no guy, probably would post such a topic, but instead, on this forum, we post topics about what WE GOT for Christmas.  Does that mean all men only care about themselves and what they get and showing off as a whole?  I should hope not.

Now that I think about it Cored, you never answered the question in the first place.  If it makes you feel any better, I\'ll post it again and make it politically correct --
