A truly humbling moment...
« on: January 24, 2004, 09:53:08 PM »
All past times of me aside, please read this unbiasedly.

As the tempmature dropped to about 20, me and my older brother put a layer of fresh water on the ice. Our backyard consists of a large pond, full of fish, ducks, and boaters in the summer, and skaters in the winter.

We waited serveral hours before it froze completely and decided to go for it. I walk outside, skeptic at my ice skating skills- its been so long, and grab my hockey stick.

We set up lights, and check the pond for any serious deformations to mark with cones. We are all pretty drone, considering the cold weather and darkness that still filled the air.

As we do this, the northern lights begin glowing in all their beauty. The mountain not a mile away is lighted up an vast spectrum of colors as the stars accent the sky. I stare at it, and just gaze into its beauty.

It honestly is the greatest moment in my life. I was almost in tears.

I just thought I would share this to you.

Please, if you have nothing serious to add to this thread, please dont.

More reason to believe in God...

I\'m not trying to push this thread into that direction, but its those moments when I know he exists more than ever.

Just for Spudz sake and the sake of this thread, I will not comment on the above statement :P

Anyways, Yes sounds like a cool moment (e), It\'s nice to just sit and watch nature and the sky and stuff sometimes.... nice n peaceful...
It was a darkness all my own, a song played on the radio, It went straight to my heart - I carried it with me - until the darkness was gone.

I too have those moments here in Vegas sometimes... This place has some really great sunsets, and I love driving home at night and looking at the glittering strip in the distance. Really an awesome place.

Key words: in the distance

Hehe... the sunsets are still nice. Also I think when I leave here I\'ll never forget driving to school towards Sunrise Mountain and the sun creeping over the mountain.

Must of been a pretty crappy life if that was your best moment.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

Your life is truly sad if that is the greatest moment of your life. That or you are gay.
