Remember the fiasco for PS2? Long lines, overnight campouts, news crews interviewing PS2 nut huggers, riots in Paris, theives grabbing PS2 boxes from beaming PS2 owners and the after math : eBay customers paying $200 for an empty PS2 box?


Well......what about the PS3???

no need for camping out as we all know we won\'t see that tremendous leap from this generation to the next..only thing that scares me is that sony is still going with the same technology as ps2. y\'know hard to program for etc. i think it might hurt them a little bit this time around. i don\'t think people are going to want to hear "just wait a few years when they REALLY learn how to get the most from those processors!"

just make it easy to program for right outa the box cause you know that\'s how nin. & the box are going to be.

Ppl won\'t have to camp out ; ppl who place an order for PS3 (and pay for it) will receive a small mail delivered package @ home which contains :

- 1 PS3 "Cell" chip which is to be attached to your microwave oven, tv set top box, fridge etc. The "Cell-Clamp and thumbscrews come included.

- 1 dualshock2/dualshock3 docking port which offers 2 slots.
(multi-tap 3 sold seperately)

- 1 dualshock3 controlpad

Game discs will load into the Sony DVD player which you already have of course :nerd:

I\'ll reserve one, and if I think there\'s going to be a shortage/rush again I\'ll buy 2 or 3.  I paid for my PS2 last time completely from my pre-xmas sale of a second PS2 I lined up for.  When you work it out, that was like 40 bucks an hour I made for lining up for that second one.

Ive never reserved something. It always seemed that many people that did would often times not recieve w/e it is on the sale date.

I barely camped for my ps2. Just rode my bike up at about 6:30 in the morning waited a while and got one after waiting 2-3 hours.

Thank god for raffles. :D

Nah doubt it...that\'s just sad. May pre-order one, but the chances are I\'ll wait till at least some decent games come out for it. Knowing SONY, they\'ll release the console without any good launch games...for the third time.

Most likely, I\'ll import one when it comes out in Japan, then I\'ll reserve one for the US. All depends on launch games. My days of reserving it and then still standing in line for 5 hours is over.
