TB in 7 QQ for the Flames who have dominated the series on the ice.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

You\'re the one that said Lightning in 5. Look how that worked out.

Flames take Game 7 and get the Stanley Cup as far away from Florida as possible. Jerome Iginla scores the game winner midway through the 3rd period, and Martin Gelinas adds an empty netter in the final minute, Flames win 3-1.

Series MVP - Jerome Iginla
Playoffs MVP - Martin Gelinas

Kiprousoff for a 2nd round pick...that\'s the best trade in the past 10 years.

See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!

I know.  I had fallen asleep a little in the first overtime, but then woke up and watched a little family business.  That kept me awake till the 2nd overtime.

Luckily St Louis took care of bidness fast.

*yawn*

Welp, that was rather anticlimatic (or so I can assume now that Calgary\'s down 2-0 with a period to play). 7 SOG\'s I believe after 2 periods? Has Khabibulin broken a sweat? At all?

Too bad you don\'t watch Baseball. I\'ve already had 2 years with good ol\' Erin by watchin\' Braves baseball in TBS.

Another Florida sports team wins a title -- nobody cares. As much as you want us to, it\'s simply not going to happen. Nobody cared when the Marlins won their 2nd World title, and nobody cares that the Lightning just won their first.

Is there anybody else that just naturally hates all Florida teams, or is that just me? :-P

Well, Mr. Vid, it would have been anticlimatic had your team decided not to make it worth watching in the final 10 minutes of the game. Really wanted to see them choke. Would have made this post that much sweeter, but oh well.

So a Floirda teams wins the Stanley Cup. The NHL is in good hands *rolls eyes*

Congrats for Tampa!  I wanted Calgary to win, but overall it was a great Stanley Cup final.  Both teams were great!

Them choke or that powerplay goal by Calgary a complete gift.  The was obviously a terrible call that should have been absolutely nothing.

No one cares about Florida teams winning, but they care a hell of a lot more than anything from Nebraska doing anything.

At least Tampa won... can\'t say I was happy to see two small market teams in the Finals especially with this lockout looming.  I will admit that it was a very interesting and entertaining series - not as good as the Colorado-Devils series back in 2001 though ;)

I\'m not going to lie and say that I\'m a big fan of hockey but WTF was up with that "goal" in game 6? The NHL said it was an "optical illusion". What kind of shit is that?
