NBA Playoffs... lets stick this suckah\'...

wow you\'re complaining about fouls when the Pacers were getting hacked left and right?  On a couple of those "blocks" today the Pacers were hacked and badly.  Namely a few times with Austin Croshere and the first shot Reggie put up.  That last foul on Croshere was bullshit he had his hands in the air, Rasheed spins around shoots the shot and the ref calls the foul for no reason.

I even heard Rasheed saying to the ref after one of Croshere\'s fouls "thats not a foul ref".  Its just a physical series, so theres gonna be missed calls and calls that shouldn\'t be made because they anticipate the foul.  I can make the same claims you make for Rasheed for Artest.  I only agree with maybe 2 of the fouls on Artest.

The point I was making was that they\'re not all selfish. Its just a common misconception that the media has stirred up. I was not justifying being a selfish player at the cost of winning.

Laugh it up but it\'s plain as day obvious to everybody but your dumb ass.  They have so much talent but barely even get by.  The non-existant team, dirty players, rapist.  I\'m sure I could think of more later.  But hey, they win so I like em\', der der der.

Seriously, this is a team that put talent before chemistry and teamwork.  You don\'t just bring in the best players, you bring in the players that work best for your team, something the Lakers seem to have forgotten.  Payton clearly has been an awful fit here.  This team has just become ugly to watch.  They always talk about Kobe needing to carry the team...bullshit.  Doesn\'t anyone understand that no one needs to carry a team with 4 future hall of famers?  It\'s such an LA way of looking at things really, even with so much talent the put they individual before the team.  Payton\'s attitude shows that, Kobe\'s attitude shows that.

Not to mention the fact that people are trying to glorify someone on trial for rape right now, who even if he is found not guilty, has provided more distractions for a team that needs to be coming together than anyone else in the league by far.  This is the worst time that could happen, since this was the season where the team needed to come together the most.  I think anyone who even had Kobe for MVP enter their minds is insane, just because of all these distractions he\'s caused.  Oh yeah, let\'s not forget that just about all his teammates hate him.

Then, go beyond that, and look at the defense.  Gary Payton has always been known for his defense.  At least all 4 future hall of famers have been on the NBA all defensive team.  The fact is, however, that over the course of the season this team has been too lazy to play defense consistantly.  It cost them during the regular season, and it\'s costing them now.  Defense wins championships.

Frankly, the Lakers make me sick, and I will love every moment of their defeat, which will happen.

I know that wasn\'t directed at me, but that was my explaination, and I could add A LOT more to it if you want me to.

Barely even get by? I\'d say making it to the Western Finals and up 2-1, they\'re getting by just fine.

Dirty players? Rapists? Haha... come on man... We all know that there are much more of those outside the Lakers that are in the NBA.

As for SER, I really don\'t see why you guys are overreacting so much to his comments. I\'m assuming, and correct me if I\'m wrong SER, that he is an avid b-ball fan and simply likes to be entertained by watching the game. And none of you cannot deny that the Lakers are entertaining.

Did you not notice 3 consecutive calls on Rasheed on consecutive possessions, all off ball?  The ref was just making up for it, sadly they do that in the NBA.

All I\'m saying is if you look at this series and the Nets series, the refs were completely bias toward the other team.  Sorry if losing to Detroit makes you angry since Indiana has had nothing but hype from the media while Detroit for the most part has been denoted as a boring team.  (even though the styles of play are very similar.)

You mean to tell me you haven\'t read any of this thread?  The talk isn\'t over you watching basketball, it\'s over your view on the Lakers.  I\'m really confused how you didn\'t catch that.  Also, how was I hypocritical.  I wasn\'t the only one that saw how you viewed the Lakers as a complete joke.

As for calling you a dumb ass.  It was a last resort after you failed to grasp  what everybody had said in the entire thread.  All you could do is say, "well they win, I just don\'t get the hate for them".  Resorting to use of my words, just adding my name instead of yours.  Saying I\'m whats wrong with sports.  You couldn\'t defend how they played or anything, you just like winners.  :rolleyes:
