You\'re a complete idiot. You argue about the power supply unit and then Joe Blow, MM knocked that argument down,
What are you smoking? Let’s take a closer look at this.
#1) I suggest you take some time to read around NVIDIA forums, you "know" the people whom this card is targeted towards. You will notice that many of them are worried about weather or not they have sufficient power to run the card. These are after all the enthusiasts-remeber Nvidia is recommending 480W
The card will be out in around 40 days. It\'s not a paper launch
You obviously are a console gamer, as it\'s clear that you do not have any understanding of the computer world. Oh boy here we go
#1 you just stated the card will be available in 40 days(which by the way there is no confirmed date of release), therefore since the NV40 will not be available for well over a month, what you see here is called a paper launch. If you actually followed the PC gpu world you would see NVIDIA is notorious for there paper launches "FX LINE" ring a bell.
Now ATI on the other hand is known to first manufacture there cards, then do an official release. Makes allot more sense, that is the reason why ATI has not lifted the NDA\'s yet, they want to have the cards within a week to retailers after official launch. NVIDIA of course had decided to paper launch there card
manufactures are already making boards as you can tell by the pictures provided.
Those boards genius all of them were manufactured in the USA, using A1 silicon why do you think that is. Sigh...
You\'re a complete idiot
oh I see you took a look at yourself in the mirror, seems you are the one whom needs to get his facts straight, NEXT time "
Living in Clip before you come in and decided to attack someone please make sure you have a leg to stand on.
MM knocked that argument down
How so, this was his response "
a computer user has 3 optical drives and 4 hdd\'s, he is a fool for not already having a 500w power supply"
I disagree let\'s dive into this for a moment. the average PSU in the enthusasits PC is usally a 450W PSU. Now Antec, Enermax, Vantec etc..rate there PSU incorreclty(they are rated at 24c for that power, when the typical temp for a psu is 42c, also the maximum power rating of an ATX spec-compliant PSU, in watts, has nothing to do with whether the current it delivers to its various rails will be stable or not. Remember the NV40 requires 2 molex connectors-unused.(meaning they can not be attached to anything else, other wise you have to much a fluctuation in power) Enthusasts are the people with multiple HDD, cd drives, lights fans etc... it\'s important how stable a PSU is at delivering current on each of the 2 rails that connect to the NV40, this can be a big problem for a good number of people whom can not meet the requirment. So mm, certainly he did not blow away or knock down my argument, because there is validation towards my argument. As for my comment towards him about Intel and NVIDIA he knows exactly what I WAS DRIVING AT.
One more thing, NV40\'s Power requirement is not very friendly to OEM\'s whom see the PQ being more of a risk take.
