Everybody already had high expectations for Nintendo\'s pre-show conference, but Nintendo still managed to over-deliver.

S\'been a while since I\'ve been excited about Big N\'s lineup. :)

If that\'s all they got then IMO, Nintendo is not going to stand up against Xbox games.  This year or next year.   hehe!

...

Moving on, I just watched the entire conference. What\'s being said about the DS sounds really good. I went from not being very interested in it at all and pro-PSP, to wanting the DS a lil\' more than the PSP.

[EDIT] - Had to add a bit of clarification at the end of my post there.

I agree.  Geist, Paper Mario 2, Mario Tennis, Starfox, Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem and even Donkey Konga and Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat are all peaking my interest.

And that doesn\'t touch on GBA or DS games, either. I can\'t wait to give the DS a try and see what Nintendo\'s been up to.

Nintendo doesn\'t have all the games worth being interested in, but for the first time in a while, it has a bunch of them.

I am going to remember you made a dumb statement like that , the next time you get all happy for a sequel.

Who cares if its a sequel as long as the gameplay is top notch, which Nintendo titles are almost always.

Its different to have a sequel in one generation and have a zillion of them in decades
And other companies dont get as much credit when they produce on the same title
Actually the opposite happens

Yeah I know. But Nintendo seems to get more credibility when they introduce the next mario, the next zelda etc.
But when other companies introduce a sequel of a hit a lot of people seem to lose interest saying that they only offer sequels and that they want something new.
Nintendo is doing this for decades and usually does it more than most other famous developers. Its like EA for me only that they do it with more creativity.

You really don\'t have a clue, do you? Let me explain this.

Mario, Zelda and other are franchises , which means there is sequels. People don\'t lose interest in these franchises due to the fact Nintendo almost always  re-invents the wheel with their franchises. That\'s why you almost never see a sequel to one game, within another years period.
