Alright... well... The thing with this new girl at work isn\'t looking as well as I had hoped. See, we hired a handful of new people, and one is a guy who I have sort of taken under my wing and been a real nice friend to as he adjusts to working and even living in Vegas (he just moved here from CA). Well today at work, we\'re talking and he says,
"Oh man, I went to the mall today with the hottest chick ever"
I ask, "Really, who?"
He replies, "Here, I got a picture of her"
*he reaches for his cellphone, and shows to me a picture of none other than this girl at work that I planned on pursuing*
Me, "Ah... crap."
Him, "You don\'t think she\'s pretty?"
Me, "No, she\'s hot. Its just... well I wanted to get with her 
."
Him, "Oh... I know man, she\'s so gorgeous. Can you help me out?"
Me, "Uh... as much I as I don\'t want to, I\'ll do my best."
Okay, so that was the jist of it. I\'d feel so bad trying to fight with this guy for her, mainly cuz I\'m leaving in less than 2 months anyways, and well I\'ve been a good friend to him so far. The thing is, he doesn\'t need my help. Now, as much as you all like to think it, I\'m not gay, but this guy is pretty good looking and is even pretty buff. I really don\'t feel like going through some rollercoaster ride and try to compete with him, I don\'t have the time, and I don\'t really have the confidence at this point.
So far I have only spoken with this girl and had small conversations, and have made her laugh quite a lot. I think she understands that I like her at this point, if not, the \'work hotline\' really is slower than I thought.
Also, there is another chick at work that seems pretty in to me. Actually wait, I know she likes me. She doesn\'t look as good as the chick mentioned above, but she\'s not bad. At this point, I really don\'t know if I want to bother trying to get with her, chances are I\'ll just put up some \'friends zone\' wall for her. Dunno really.
And lastly, my ex\'s best friend is talking to me a lot more than usual. :shy:
I\'m in the twilight zone right now. I guess priority one is still trying to hook up with the new hottie.

Alrighty...
Well apparently the guy that was chasing the girl I liked threw in the towel. He told me that he just doesn\'t think that she\'d ever like him more than a friend.
Then she comes back from Nebraska.
I\'m walking into work and he comes up to me happily and says, "Guess who\'s back?!". So he\'s back in action and still pursuing her once again, as soon as I felt extremely comfortable with my chances.
Well the good news was that she was back, and I had my chance to really talk to her and lay some sort of a foundation. And thats exactly what I did.
We talked the entire day practically about everything. I easily made her laugh every other sentence that came out of my mouth, and one time she actually had to stop bagging because she was laughing so hard. I even left a small window open for her and told her she was more than welcome to join me and my friends to go to the Warped Tour on the 4th of July.
There were other minute details, lots of eye contact, smiling, and all that gushy shit. In the meanwhile, the other guy was just so shy and didn\'t talk to her the entire day.
At the end of the day we said bye and she almost tried to hit me with her car; in a cute way of course.
Later on I go to the gym with my buddies and they invite me to go see Spiderman 2, and would you believe it, that girl is also coming! However... so is the
other guy... So Friday night is going to be ridiculously interesting, and it\'ll probably look like the final round of Elimidate or something.
From the bits and pieces that I\'ve picked up is that she\'s pretty hard to get, but everybody agrees that I have the best shot out of anybody at my work. Moreso than the other guy because he\'s younger than her, doesn\'t drive, and is just not her type in general.
I\'m sure they\'ll be an update on Friday.
