OK Di, unfortunately, you have to make this other dude look like an idot (in a subtle way).  You have some extra work ahead of you if this other dude invited her, cause technically, shes there with him.  but if you can pull this off, it will make you feel like your balls just dropped, yes man, competition is what drives us!!!! you must not fail in this mission!!!

Well, thankfully, its a group thing, and nobody invited anybody really. Just a bunch of coworkers all going out together. Out of the group though, its been clear that me and him are the ones \'competing\' for her. I think its going to fun more than challenging, I do have the upper hand since I\'m more outgoing than him. I think I\'ll try and use that to my advantage...

"Hey dude, can you get us some popcorn? Thanks."

Take a camera with you and tape the whole thing.  Then you can have her chose between the two of you at the end of the week.
