Id be more than happy to post my music but alas we cant load them up here and i dont know how the hell to have them hosted on a website. Whatever you do, dont get Acid Pro if you want to make ORIGINAL music. All you do there is take sliced sounds and organize them into your own thing.

As for other tools etc. Sound forge is ok, you might want a beat slicer (cant think of the name) because some of the programs dont come with them. Uhmmm.... i know i have more but i dont remember them all. Cakewalk used to be really popular but i havent heard much about the new ones if there are in fact new ones.

Any other questions that need detail you can pm me. I remember talking about this sort of thing a long time ago but nobody knew much so it just bombed.

EDIT: ok i didnt see that you tried Fruityloops but seriously you just have to learn. The sounds may sound shitty but you just have to learn how to work them into perfection. They keep them unrefined so that you can do more of your own touches.

The Fruity Loops version I have is 3.56.I ll install it again and experiment with it more.The tutorials inside fruity loops didnt help much.For example it shows some effects and a sample using these effects and it sais that you can do it with that or this but it doesnt say how.Which gets annoying.
I need more detailed tutorials

heh too late for that.I started a few quitar lessons when I was a kid but didnt progress enough.Unfortunately I didnt have enough patience and my fingers hurt a lot everytime.

Oh right. That was a pretty decent version. I think i have 4.5 or 4.1.5 or some crap. Now they call it FL Studio not just FL. Id give you the file but considering thats ileagal (and we all know how some of you mods feel about that) and you have a 56k, i dont think its going to happen.

but if you need, i can answer basically all ?\'s you have on it and even some neat tips.

I installed it from the beginning.I just gave up experimenting with it again a few minutes ago
I find a few problems with it but the ironic thing is I dont know how to explain the problems I am encountering to get any answers

What I need is a step by step tutorial on how to create a certain piece( like the sample that demonstrates what you can get from the program for example) so I can realize better the logic of the program and how to solve a few issues that might be encountered during the middle of the work.I ll do a search over the net for a few tutorials

I ll keep experimenting with it and in case I find a problem I can explain (my English suck btw) I ll let you know

I wouldnt really disagree with you, but depending on what you want out of it, it can do some pretty good things. Why  you say that is another thing. But since you didnt say much i guess there isnt much to retaliate with.

Cakewalk always seemed too multi-purpose to me,  If I want audio sequencing and editing, thats what I want. I\'m makin\' music here not commercials.


Although I have heard good things about the newest versions of it, I have yet to try it in the past couple years.

right now, I am slaving my laptop running reason via midi to my main comp running nuendo (sorta like an upgraded cubase...I think, I can\'t really tell the diff...) also use audiomulch to tweak beats and shit, and sound forge to cut my loops & samples up....

Also have a quattro to run audio into nuendo and monitor recorded tracks.... will post a pic of my setup later....

I\'ve been using Buzz Machines for the past year or so.  It hasn\'t been updated for a few years, but I hear a new program is being built off of the Buzz Machines code that will bring it more up to date and make it more user friendly.  http://www.buzzmachines.com/

I\'ve also been using Microsoft DirectMusic Producer.   It\'s not bad if you don\'t mind midi-quality output (The only way I can figure out how to save the songs is to export them to a midi, then converts that to a wav, then convert that to a mp3.  lol.  Kind of a hastle.)

Fruit Loops is great for newbs I hear.  Don\'t listen to the l337 music composers bashing Fruit Loops because it\'s too \'basic\'.  People have to start somewhere, and shouldn\'t have to go out and buy a 400 dollar music program just to find out they don\'t really like composing music.

I loved fruityloops before I had reason........check out the beep mapper, and be sure to f*ck around with the delays on the sample window, there\'s some cool modulation there...

lol "so excited" he says. Thats how i felt. Told you ya bum. It can do great things if you just learn to work it. And actually i wouldnt say fruityloops is basic Iron. I mean i know the other programs but you can get exremely technical on FL. Some of the demo songs in the newer versions can demonstrate that. Fairly impressive.

And yes Reason is great. But for him, fl is more than enough. I really wish i could post my music damnit!!!
