There was a reality show on BET called "College Hill". It was about a bunch of students at an HBCU. If I remember correctly it was one of the highest rated shows on  the network.

I do think that some people care about the lack of minorities on reality shows. I think it sucks that black people get voted off in the first rounds of most shows but then again they could be asian and not get on the show at all. Its not like there were a lot of minorities on television BEFORE reality shows became popular.

Well there was quame or however you spell it on the aprentice. He made it damn far.

As for minorities and these types of shows, i dont know. Personally i couldnt care less. I dont even really watch TV. Maybe black people dont care whether the people are black or not. If you dont buy that, then maybe the shows are just so popular with white people and some other minorities that it makes up for the number of black people not watching it.

I dont see how this is really that interesting of a subject but if you want to know, i dont think any of us have any definate answer. Black people dont want to see a bunch of white people whining. And before you try to make something out of that statement, think and try to tell me that the shows arent full of whiney white people and a whole lot of drama.

Either way i dont know the answer. Reality TV isnt too appealing to me anyway so i guess id say that for the most part IT SUX. :p

Let\'s go into theory mode and say since a lot of white America has cushy albeit boring desk jobs many find it intriguing to watch shows about @$$holes going at it in the "real world."  ...whatever your definition of the real world is.

Minorities such as myself are too dumb to get a desk job so we live in the real world every day.

I thought the WB or UPN or some network had a lot of minority shows.

Heck, there is that George Lopez thing.  The Wayan\'s brother has a decent show.  Are there really not that many minority shows?  I guess I just don\'t pay attention.
